That rifle shoots so well I'd not even consider the spring. You tuned that gun superbly. And it looks appealing. Can’t wait to receive mine within the next few days! Considering one in 25 caliber also.
Mine was $19.95 a brick of Chinese round nose 1000 pellets , down to the last two little plastic tins. Put a cheap $8.00 scope . Tack driver at 20 yards plus 100 plus rabbits, one mole . On oxygen now so my powdered guns not so much 😭 anymore, bb and pellets for sure. Great video by the way!!!!!

I bought one of those rifles at a gunshow in 22 caliber with 1000 pellets for $50 about 15 years ago. The manual said to expect about 28mm group at 10 meters. That's about an inch for those of you who don't speak metric. My rifle would do that. Barely. Of course that was with the cheap chinese pellets. It will probably do much better with decent pellets. I noticed that the bore was mighty rough looking. You dont get any bore polishing for $50. I might get the old girl out and clean her up and maybe polish the bore and see if she will do better. I think, with the right pellet, that the gun might be ok for shooting pigeons and rats in the barn. It's a lot of bang for the buck thats for sure. Thanks for the video.

Like i said in my video these type of rifles are great because they let anyone into the world of shooting as they are so cheap , even if you don't have to much disposal income most people can afford one of this type rifles. Great video by the way.

Same thing as my old Fortune Rifle (I don't shoot it much, but I have fortunes from fortune cookies taped all over it.) Picked it up super cheap at a gun show. Think I paid $25 for it new. I do rather like the underlever style.
Just one tip to improve accuracy of this gun, please use your right hand rather gun rest you will surprisingly see the improvement in the accuracy. Spring rifles are used with artilery hold without any rest.

If the compression tube is okay a leather seal actually works great. It doesn’t make the power synthetic seals do. But, I think it “grabs” less once it’s settled in and is really consistent. They like the oil though. If I park it for longer than a few weeks, I plan to put a drop down it.

You've only got two calibers .177 and .22 int that rifle. If the barrel looks just over 1/15th of an inch, its .177. If its close to 1/4 of an inch it's .22 caliber. The calibers of most firearms and airguns is the diameter of the barrel or projectile going through it.
Maybe if you heated up the barrel block and didn’t ruin the temper it would press out. Then you have to somehow slug it back in. I don’t think the barrel and compression tube are cast together.
