The STS Maintenance Team installing sand slits to a depth of 8 inches. Our Verti-Quake Vibra-Sandmaster slices into the athletic surface to a desired depth and vibrates sand directly into the slits. A topdresser is utilized to consistently fill the Sandmaster while the convoy moves up and down the field. The rear tires gently compress the turfgrass behind the machine leaving the field with very little surface disturbance and ready to play. Incorporating sand into the rootzone will encourage greater drainage, rooting, safety, and playability of the athletic field.
