- Would you believe me if I told you that half of our blessing comes from God's Blessings, while the other half comes through our battles? The Bible teaches that all blessings come from God and that He is the source of all good things in our lives. It says in James 1:17, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." The Bible also teaches that we will face trials and difficulties in life, but it is through these battles that we grow and mature in our faith. As Romans 5:3-5 says, "We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us."
Today I challenge you to look at your "battles" with a new perspective, It's God helping you to become everything He needs you to be!
5:20 - “Coming to church isn’t enough to enter in what God has for you.” Spend time with God through prayer, reading the Bible, an applying his word.
9:30 - “God will take you where you are, but won’t let you stay where you are.” Serve God with your whole mind, heart and soul.
13:01 - “Make a decision today to not lean on your own understanding. If God has blessed them, he will bless you.” Don’t become discouraged that your breakthrough is taking longer than others. Remain joyful throughout the process!
22:28 - Luke 22:47. “People who are for and against you, are blessings to your life.” God can turn any circumstance into a positive outcome. Look for the lesson God wants to teach you from each encounter made.
32:21 - Don’t ruin opportunities or regress your growth by speaking negatively about current circumstances. Those are defining moments in building faith and belief in God.

ET I grew up on 79th and Peoria in the Chi so I recognize you swag in several ways. I know home mindset and the struggle in that era. I left home on your own…i left to go into the marine corp. came home from boot camp and I left at gun point. Afterwards homeless for several years but blessed to have help. Had to leave Chi and came to Cali as a correctional officer exposed to misery, depression, psychosis and manipulation for 16 years. Almost died twice. Once from fatigue manifested from the demands of that career…fell asleep at the wheel…ran into an abandoned car. Concussion, amputated tongue( reattached) no support from work. Later caught Covid at the beginning. Nurses were crying because I was trying to keep up beat and be kind to them because people were dieting lest and right around me and they showed signs of ptsd. Doctor told my wife to handle my affairs but the Lord was ready for all that. I slowly bounced back and things were normal. I pray often to God for his purpose for me. Nothing has manifested as yet but I confided to God that dealing with evil psychotic, manipulative people constantly changing who I am and my perception of people can not be what the best version of me is. I think I got an answer on that though and I am educating myself to undertake a new discipline and careers. I listen to you every day on the way to work. I’m older, but you seam to be wiser and I take some of the wisdom you’ve past on to me to a lot of incarcerated man. Some respond positively and reach out for help. Some do not. Thank you for all God has blessed you to pass on. I home God blessed me to be as articulate. God bless you and yours.

“Affirm him 3 times, correct him once”… I definitely needed to hear this b/c I’ve told my children religiously “I’m not about to reward a fish for swimming” if you’re in school each day that you’re supposed to be there and you’re doing all the work and studying.. getting A’s is a given! Now I must lean into nurturing their efforts and offering praise and recognition.
My GOD… my spirit truly needed to hear this sermon. My God…..

I love this message. Mr Thomas should be careful, though... All humans ain't experienced a mother's love. For some, it was a father's love that carried them. For other's, it was an aunty's love or grandmother or big cousin. The Word says, though my MOTHER AND FATHER forsake me, my HEAVENLY FATHER will not forsake me.
I just love ET testimony and his type of preaching. Been following him for years but because of God he gets better and better. It's inspiring. My children are 15 and 12 and listen to his messages. ❤
