- Had this mystery man show up to the shop from Ethiopia to show me some rocks, which turned out to be Uncut Gems, specifically Uncut Opals this time. Benjamin did convince me to over pay on this jewelry, but I bring them over to my friend Mike and show you exactly how we cut these rough cut opals, polish them and turn them into a new fresh opal and how we make jewelry. TraxNYC.com for your opal piece today. IF and only IF I pin your comment I will send you a free opal, just watch out for the scams in the comments.

Right there is a real business man who takes risks .
No this is not business this is just gambling.

Businessmen don't take risk.

My boy riding for his opal
You know he's an expert when he just snapped that rock in half with confidence revealing the true gem size.
stop watching videos the angles are misleading and don't tell all.
Sorry to say but the real master was the guy from Ethiopia.
@alfredobatista9818 not really he knew risk and he wanted to show how they where processed as he said in the beginning
The guy blatantly put the opals in wet cement and dried them to hide the true size of the gems you wouldn’t be able to just snap real stone in half like that fair play his scam worked
The guy blatantly put the opals in wet cement and dried them to hide the true size of the gems you wouldn’t be able to just snap real stone in half like that fair play his scam worked
My daughter and I find opal as the most amazing of all the gemstones because it comes in near endless types of formations and designs and no two stones will ever be perfectly identical!
We love collecting opals, though it's a gamble if your not at the source getting first picks. Another beautiful thing about collecting gemstones such as opal is knowing they come find places all around the world!
We hope to travel one day and get to go into an active opal mine so we may get the chance to pull our own opal gemstone from the Earth!!!
Dude you’re the most genuine honest guy I came across on here I can’t wait to come check you out ! Love from Las Vegas keep up the good work 🙏
You can tell this is someone that really enjoys the craft. He doesn't act like he knows everything, and stays positive when things don't exactly go to plan. That's the kind of boss you'd wanna work for
I gues it is possible that he might be bearable, but doupt anyone wats to work for a boss lol

Uncut gems was such a trippy movie
yeah bro, so much is going on at once in that movie its just bonkers
the way it was shot n the music made it trippy the story was pretty hard hitting no breaks the ending was a bummer tho lol
Even crazier that he’s in it
It's was definitely a 8/10
He's acted in it
"He spends my money better then he spends his own"
My family knows how to do this to me. 😅
You can just tell this dude is a good person to the core. So refreshing.
Like how traxx shows full transparency, not just on how not to get ripped off but also not sugar clotting everything and showing when things don’t go to plan. Honesty is admirable and something that becomes less common it would seem as time goes on.
Your willingness to help people has always been a blessing to see.

Trax is a legend
Love how he spreads the love throughout New York, alot of people take his for generosity for granted but he still is unfazed because he came into the game with the right mind set.
Always making the best outta any deal. Ethiopia its an amazing and ancient land. You got really something very special from a highly sacred place. I with to get one of those special and unique opal ring.
And this is why I respect bro. He ain't lying to us. He takes a risk He knew he lost but someone's trash is another's treasure and a smart man knows that
hes lying to you about iced out watches i can guarantee that
@@CICellDirectorCairmann How 💀🤣 he's literally the one I learned about lab diamonds and real diamonds and has the machine and prices to show it
But he is lying. He said he got scammed. You scam people that don’t know any better. He’s a jeweler, or at least claims to be. So he knows better… or should have. He started off by saying “I didn’t spend my money, my homie spent my money instead of his own.
On the note of trash to treasure. I took old electronics people were trashing and turned them into a solid gold coin of my daughter. That’s trash to treasure. Even if he overpaid on the opal, he will make a profit because jewelry is usually 3x-4x the cost of the elements used to make it.
Just watched uncut gems. Your cameo is now my my favorite part and think a spin off with you would be even better
Your attitude "rocks". Lol. I love watching you educate us/the public and you give back. Thank you my friend 😊

I love the fact that he's educating all of us on how all these stones and metals are actually cared for....why does he not have a show??
My experience is that when some unknown person is selling uncut gems why would he have not had them cut himself and make 10x the money?
Something better than a show he has a UA-cam channel 😂
I love watchin trax. He seems to be the only honest man amongst crooks
I’ve seen a few videos of people cutting gems, I wish this kind of thing was accessible to learn or even get into. It’s something I find extremely interesting.
So much respect to a jeweler who not only takes chances, but also doesn’t screw over the seller and gives them a chance. Amazing content and keep it up bro, more people should be like you!
I didn't see a rip off or a mess up I saw a opportunity to learn ,educate , and grow. Love your confidence ❤️
And he shares it with us all on his dime
Dam i want learn from the 1 only
No the guys from Africa, he got Nigerianed
regardless wasnt a ripoff they probably bought it for very very cheap otherwise no point in purchasing dirty stones
And bro came all the way from Ethiopia with a bag of rocks had to give him that sale 😂
You're being rewarded 10xs over just for keeping it positive and even though you were ripped off that good energy you put out there has already come back to you.
Love these videos, people like you given back to random people really bringing joy back into some people lives. Love watching how the diamond district works and all very interesting!
Beautiful Gems.
He's still learning at his age. The drive you have sir is truly inspiring
It's a reminder to always clean the gems before making the purchase. If the seller isn't willing to let you verify their value then they are probably shady as hell anyway
These parcels are called opal gambles when you buy them, because the potch inclusions can run very deep and you never know if it will totally ruin a stone until you start to cut. Gambles are usually pretty cheap because you need just as much luck as you need skill to shape a good gem out of it. The value of a well cut opal is 10x the value of a rough gamble opal. A seller could lose money trying to cut a stone, so they prefer to sell as-is in bulk to save on effort and time
You live & You learn...
That opal still looks awesome beautiful color and contrast
Always nice to see a negative flipped into a positive. ..Another great learning experience
