A bookshelf loudspeaker (or bookshelf speaker) is a compact loudspeaker, generally sold for consumer-grade home audio applications as part of a shelf stereo pair or home theater package, that is compact in size and intended to be placed on a raised surface, e.g. a bookshelf.
Bookshelf speakers are meant to rest on a shelf, table or other elevated surfaces - anywhere but the floor. They’re specifically designed to maximize sound in small to medium-sized spaces. Like anything else, doing your homework before making a decision will definitely pay off. For instance, some are geared specifically for movie buffs, while others are tailored to take your music listening experience to the next level.
When you’re ready to pull the trigger on bookshelf speakers, we’ve got you covered with the basics every consumer needs to know.
Just because they're named "bookshelf speakers" does not mean they have to go on a bookshelf. Think outside the box and get creative where you place them.
Whether you place the bookshelf speaker on an actual bookshelf, on speaker stands, or on top of a media console, you need to properly place the speakers. The general rule is to put bookshelf speakers at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock positions, angling them towards your preferred listening position. The tweeters should be at ear-level for optimal performance.
In the 1950s and 1960s, high quality home loudspeakers were exclusively large and floor-standing speaker enclosures, whereas small speaker cabinets had reputation of low price and low audio quality. Beginning in the 1960s, some manufacturers began making more expensive, compact high fidelity speakers.[1] The demand for smaller speakers was from hifi enthusiasts who lived in small apartments, who did not have space for large speaker enclosures.
Edgar Villchur, who along with partner Henry Kloss founded Acoustic Research, is generally credited with inventing bookshelf speakers.[2] Villchur's key innovation was an acoustic suspension (also called "sealed box") design, by which the woofer and other drivers were in separately enclosed chambers. The speaker drivers were stiffer and much smaller than the earlier ported designs.[2] The acoustic suspension design enabled the air in the sealed box to act like a spring, to help prevent excessive excursion. Advent, now defunct, was another early manufacturer of bookshelf speakers.[3]
Certain market and technical issues have contributed to the widespread adoption of bookshelf speakers in the 1990s and beyond. Technical improvements and less expensive mass-production technologies have made high-quality bookshelf speakers affordable for most audio enthusiasts. Rapid improvements in amplifiers, digital signal processors and other components has improved the sound quality of low to mid-level home audio systems, which creates a stronger need for adequate speakers.
Home theater systems are increasingly popular, and their multi-channel audio requires five or more speakers rather than the two speakers of earlier stereo systems. For cost and practical reasons the most common setup is satellite speakers, typically bookshelf speakers for the side, back, and sometimes the front and center channels, rather than larger speakers for each channel.
Finally, most home theater and many musical home audio applications, began in the late 1990s to incorporate separately-enclosed subwoofers to handle deep bass. Human perception of low-frequency sound is relatively non-directional, so a single subwoofer cabinet placed anywhere in the room (even hidden behind a sofa) is usually sufficient and may be placed anywhere. This frees up the other speakers to omit the lower end of the frequency spectrum. Without the relatively heavy, bulky, and expensive low bass drivers and their large speaker enclosures, the speakers can be made smaller.

Beautiful option in speakers, I was looking for a nice speakers set and the bookshelf ones seemed too costly and I thought better I could assemble them.
Will these be good with a 50W*2 class D TPA3255 amp like Aiyima A07 or Fosi audio T01D stereo amp ? or i was thinking i will use your channel videos to make a class AB transistor based amp for that cost :)
I am saying 50W since many channels like micheal beeny etc have measured the Vrms output before clipping on 8ohm using scope and found it to be about 50W which is more than enough for room use.

No... This is not a monitor speaker.
No doubt the look and finish is fantastic but according to the specifications price is quite high.
One more thing is that in such price range a printing mistake is not appreciable.
The woofer is 4 ohms but the sticker shows that it's 8 ohms.
Naturally book shelf speakers comes with 8 ohms impedance. Most of high end amplifiers ( for domestic use) designed to match 8 ohms not 4 ohms.
Don't mind brother all people doesn't have the proper knowledge about the impedance factor .
The initial response of the speaker may surprise the customer but ultimate result may not be satisfie the same.

You talked about price point. I feel the price is Ok, in-fact reasonable. That's the good thing about Indian audio products, in reasonable amount we get decent quality & finish in comparison to Imported products that sometimes comes at 4 to 5 times the price, but we cannot change mindset. Majority feel Imported products (American/European) are something extraordinary. You could have used a higher power amp for sound demo. Overall I will rate these speakers 7 out of 10. Great value for money product. Hats off to Dooge sound/soundking and very nice review by you.

I had bought BPL power house in 1994 , the speaker box was very good and those are still working now. The cost of boxes were 2500/- at that time . The old amplifier is damaged, I am using new amplifier with same old speaker boxes 😊😊

Sound bar vs book shelf which one best for home use
If you have stereo amplifier and listen more to Music (any type) then go for matching speakers (bookshelf/towers) to that amplifier. Sound bars are meant for movies/other tv programmes and very occasional music listening. For long hours and regular music listening a two channel stereo is far better anytime in comparison to sound bar with subwoofer.
