Tig welding thick aluminum tricks

Most of use don’t have 250+ amp tig machines so welding 1/4in and above aluminum can be a real challenge. I made a video with a few tips to help improve your thick aluminum welds. 400 degree preheat will help on all thicker aluminum for both tig and mig welding.

Soot disappears about 900 degrees. Your aluminum is no at about zero state. Good video.
