The Reason Beginner's course is available now! bit.ly/ReasonReady
Just bought this I learned that by recording the right notes in key then triggering that with the generator will give you very good results
i cant front, u might have one the best instruction channels for Reasons software. awesome details.
If I want a bassline I just hit record and hit the same key over and over in time with the melody. Then loop 4 bars while moving the midi notes to taste, literally take a cupple minuts, I pay no attention to key just can hear what sounds good. Bassline generater does not do it easier then I can.
word man
@@prod.spacecadet7441 👍
@@prod.spacecadet7441 its basically what she did after wasting time with the generator. I make hip hop and dub music and this thing is not for me
I feel like all these generators are more fun when making generative music like you would in the euro rack world. That’s how I use to use reason back in the day with some midi controllers.
thx....I just hit the randomize button till something cool happens....then, I send the pattern out to be edited further. Works for me. : )
I like bassline generator. You can make some good basslines and leads with it. It does take some fiddling with it to get some good basslines. It, unfortunately, doesn't create basslines for more minimal styles (I make Dub and Dub techno) The other issue I have with it is there's no drag and drop midi out of the device. I don't use it in reason but in Ableton. I end up having to record the bass midi info on another track for editing and to use some of my other non reason synths.
It's the only player I don't like but tried to like. I think its useful for coming up with rhythms but trying to tweak that thing takes toooooooooooooooooooooooo much time. I prefer to use pattern mutator if I need inspiration for basslines.
I usually put scales and chords after the bassline generator, which keeps the bass in key.
good tip, cheers!
thanks bro
Idk I only use reason 6 for maelstrom and I don't make hip hop but I'm still gonna watch this
are you doing anymore ableton videos
The bass generator can make some dope sounding bass sounds
maybe that player its meant for dance music , because for making hiphop and soul playing the bass yourself is part of the fun. Then I also think its too expensive, 74 euro! :O
I used to use Reason but Fl studio became my best friend Fl studio piano roll is the King 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Not into it… seems way easier to just play it yourself, without the generator… :)
One moment dissing reason then making vids for clout 😐 wow
