Enjoyed watching the action but ditto on the doubles and even worse, BARBED doubles. Very large salmon are hooked each year on the Lower Humber by anglers using barbless single hooks. The reasons they were brought in here (NL) years ago was to reduce the injury caused by the barbs for both juvenile salmon and adults. The barbless hooks are sooo easy to remove compared to the barbed hooks. Time for everyone to think of the fish and not the fisherman. Not saying people don't care about the health of the salmon right now, but it just makes so much sense to reduce injury,,,,bleeding isn't much good for man or beast.
Nice sequences, but if your goal is for the fish to survive and minimize any undue stress, please, please leave the fish in the water. You do not have to take it out of the water to get a great shot.

Hopefully guides have become more responsible on C&R, because that was a brutal display.
Was at the Forks a few weeks ago. Beautiful spot.
Boys the big double hooks draw a lot of blood. What a shame.
