ua-cam.com/video/rjCqjutyxKQ/v-deo.html The 3000 mile road trip is out! We took this car 1500 miles to Moab, UT and took it on some trails that really tested it to it's limit. We didn't even see any other Subarus, let alone a Volvo!
@@chrisholmes4908 Thanks for watching, and for the compliment! I love the thing, it's just way too practical for it's own good (aside from the fuel economy). The v90cc is a newer thing right? Sounds awesome, I still really like what Volvo is doing, those are some good looking cars, though I won't be able to afford one for another ~15 years haha.
Lets drive through some puddles... Proceeds to drive through the family swamp. I replaced the same stuff you did on my 07 XC90. Ended up replacing the headlight assemblies though. Do your EGR and the hoses around it, if it hasn't been done, and go through the front suspension. I'm sure there's some worn parts in there. I had to replace everything. Fun video.
@@muthaflaco75 Yeah, the swamp wasn't the most productive use of the XC70.... I'll have to look into the EGR stuff. Currently it has a massive power steering fluid leak, so that's priority number 1, when I get around to it at least.
FYI, the steering rack has two transfer tubes that, on most cars, are part of the rack, on the xc70, you can buy the transfer tubes from volvo.. Assuming that is the source of the leak.
@@JoelKalich Great vid too by the way. these p2's are awesome cars and way under rated. They do have their quirks. Winter storm here today and my 06 awd s60 ate its lunch and then some. i will never not own a 2004-07 volvo. Good luck with yours.
@@JoelKalich Ive come to grips with it considering the overall low cost of owning one of these cars. Highway mileage is acceptable but jigging around town, its a bit of a brute.
I am not quite through your video yet but so far love it. I have an 05 XC70 just bought some 235/70 ATs for - would you be willing to sell another set of spacers?
I've been loving it. We are currently on a road trip to Arches, Zion, etc (video soon™️) and it's performed flawlessly on and off road. It's tackled some trails I didn't think it'd make it up.
Was the year of this XC70 ever mentioned? Looks newer than the 2005 model. I am guessing 2006-2007? (OK, I did some research, this model has the turnsignal lights in the rearview mirrors. That feature first appeared in the 2007 XC70. So this model is at least a 2007. Thanks).
LG Wing! I love it. It's getting super old at this point, and has always been pretty buggy, but I just can't find a new fun phone to upgrade to that has the same practicality factor.
@@XenomorphLV426 That's complicated haha. I can say that it hasn't left me stranded. I also think it was neglected before I got it. Currently the issues are: -Massive power steering fluid leak -Sun roof is completely broken somehow -Parking sensors are broken again (sorta my fault) -Passenger window doesn't roll up automatically -Might be forgetting something... With these cars it just seems to be a death of a thousand cuts, it's always something, even if it's super small, thanks to the many many computer controlled things, and criminal lack of availability for diagnostic tools to home mechanics.
@@conio58 Thanks! Yeah, that's pretty much it here, I was just nervous about it haha. I had a friend get rejected due to some sharp edges on an A pillar.
Not "commercially," I don't own the design and I don't want any of the liability if the kit fails. I will message the creator and see if they mind me selling on request though, shoot me an email at joelkalichyt@protonmail.com

Great job and amazing patience! Good luck and many miles of joy! Greetings from Russia✌🏻
Do not forget to change the oil and filter in the haldex system.
Thanks for sharing this video. I had so much fun watching. Love the editing and all the percussion during the repairs. Keep up the Volvo rolling.

The downside is that I’ve been on eBay and FB marketplace looking at xc70s to buy and lift. Watching your video might have cost me £5k 😂😂
