- Did this run a very long time ago but never posted. Sub 3 is doable with better ai and Hecate not getting stuck on the other side of the dumb wall shiz.

Sometimes i never understand this. 4 man group and over 20 mins for an EX and here a 2 man group and only 3 mins.

It's also because Valor HBG setups are just pretty OP, especially with two or more HBGs. In MH4U three Pierce HBGs and one Status LBG would be capable of completing a lvl140 Double Apex Rajang Guild Quest in around 5 minutes (if not under 5 minutes). It's no different for MHGU, except that Valor style really makes it more powerful than it ever was before.
The reason is that HBG's Siege Mode is quite literally the highest Raw DPS in the entire game, depending on the shot. The drawback is that it requires you to stay still, so there aren't many oppurtunities to do so (in MH4U, removing that feature for more power was the optimal route when solo). However in MHGU, thanks to Valor Mode, HGB not only becomes more mobile but their Siege mode is improved tremendously. In that mode, certain animations give innate Evasion+2 and there is a run that costs no stamina. With the speed of Siege shots increasing with each shot, it's possible to empty an entire Siege Clip and quickly get out of it to another position. Not to mention Siege auto reloads the clip when you go into it, so you aren't tied down to Reload skills.
Gunners really do have it good in most MH titles, with HBG being the best choice for damage output. When you see a speedrun using HBGs, you know it'll be over quickly. :)
The reason its fast is because 2 good players vs 4 not as good players. 2 swaxe would do this under 5 mins or 2 dbs or 2 ig or 2 lbg etc. Im willing to bet 2 blades of certain classes would do sub 4 so does that make them op also? 🙄
I haven't played in a while. Got fatigue. Going to play again soon. Need to finish my rapid dragon shot build. Because unlike world build variety exists in this game.

I am learning valor HBG and found your videos, amazing play! I was wondering if you could give me some advanced or useful tips to better my use of the weapon, you know like shortcuts to aim better (something like pressing lock-on just before aiming to get the reticle right on the monster, that type of stuff), specially when it comes to siege since I see you have almost perfect aim with it.
Theres not really a trick to the aiming its just aim. Lbg is a different story

So how good is HBG in GU? I like it in Worlds, but I’m quite curious on how people like it. The more I know the more I might want to try.
