I know I'll probably never get to meet you in person, but you need to know that your videos have been my rock and my strength as I battle cancer. I can't win because it's terminal, but with some luck, I may last another year, maybe two. My doctors often ask how I can be so upbeat and I always tell them I'm looking forward to your next episode! This may be the end of the journey and the story but it is also the beginning of another one. As a 49-year-old man who saw 15 countries by the time I was 30 I still have no regrets. Even if I could possibly ever find one regret it would never outweigh the regret I see in people my age and older who constantly ask "What if". Very few people in this world take the time to find themselves and learn to love themselves for who they are. I think it is why our society has become so mean-spirited over the years. You can truly never love other people until you love yourself.

Oh, Alyssa, I'm so very happy for you! I had a feeling you were yearning for this, and I'm so excited for you! I was about your age when I bought my home. I can honestly say that had someone told me about 8 months prior to it, I'd have said they were nuts. I was going through some very serious soul searching, finally concentrating on what I needed to do within to enjoy life, to be still and enjoy being alone after a breakup, and it was right then that everything just happened. The following year was a whirlwind. I met the love of my life, moved cities, changed career, got engaged, bought a house, planned a wedding, got married and got pregnant 1 month later. It all happened so fast but it was more than I ever dreamed. 23 years later, happily married, two grown daughters (one is named Alyssa

Good for you. I backpacked the world for six years and eventually came home because I had enough of saying goodbye to good people all the time. Adventures are awesome, but we need our people. Thanks for the reminder about what awesome companions dogs are though - you inspired me to add a shelter rescue dog to my life four months ago and it was the best decision I could have made after losing people that were close to me this year. Good luck with the next chapter.

I was on the road for years. It's not always there for you, when you become settled. It becomes harder to return to. Stay on the road as long as you can. Before we know it, we are old, and then the road becomes distant , my advice to young people would be to be as free as you can for as long as you can 🌞

Lyss, changes are scary but necessary, and it's so healthy you embrace this radical change with an open heart. For what it's worth I will always wait for your next video with impatience because you are the magic of your show. Sure it's amazing to witness all the breathtaking places you have been and the lifestyle you have been leading, but it would be nothing but another vanlife channel without you!

I want to thank you and wish you so many blessings on this new journey and chapter in your life. I've never met you, but you've made a huge impact on me in a short time. My Dad died recently from a horrific battle with Cancer, my younger brother died a few months after and now my Mom is slowly dying. And recently learned my little fur baby has two tumors. I've never felt more broken in my life. Many days I've felt why continue with so much pain in my soul. But recently I found your videos and they've inspired me. Your words, the emotions and intent behind them, your journey, the music, the love, joy, pain and happiness you've felt. I can't really explain it, but I've felt connected. Like I was on a journey along with you. I'm at a point in my life where my financial security is almost gone from Covid, trying to figure out how to take care of my Mom without help but seeing what you've when through and the growth gives me hope. The book "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle really launched my self growth journey and changed my perspective on life. Another great read is "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz. I love the perspective you embody in your life, which shines through your videos. I'm 68 and know the feeling of freedom is a magical thing. I have had a campervan for a year now, and I love to take off for day trips or weekenders with my dog. I know it's important to have a homebase, so I manage to get away with a little extra money left over from my pension. i think I have the best of both worlds. You have taught this young-at-heart old guy many things about life, love and liberty which I embrace on a daily basis. THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!!!!!!

in 2015.... I decided to walk from Tampa, Florida to the Grand Canyon in AZ all on foot and by myself. It was one of the scariest yet most rewarding things I have ever done in life. The people I met, the challenges I overcame and the things that I learned are invaluable. This video hit home because listening to your heart is like listening to the Holy Spirit. I only found you this year and have been loving all of your content. You are truly an inspiration. Living on the road has been such a big dream of mine for years and I've been trying so hard over the past few years to get on the road to find myself, to discover so may things, to see as much as I can, have an unforgettable adventure. My minivan is just falling apart every time I get something fixed on it though. I've lived in a high stress, chaotic environment my whole life. I just want to be able to breath.. As someone who lost everything to a house fire years back, think about moving the fire extinguisher a little further away from the stove. If that’s where the fire happens, you won’t be able to get to the extinguisher to put it out. In another corner of the room, it’ll still be quickly accessible. Stay safe. Even staying in one place can be dangerous.

I've been on the road since 1988. You never truly leave home. It's always with you no matter where life takes you. Maybe one day I'll go back and settle down once again but tomorrow is another day, another adventure, another chapter I want to live...

Videos like yours and others inspire me. In 2021 I was at a crossroads. I felt this overwhelming tug in my heart to change my life's direction. I had a great job that I worked so hard for. I had a beautiful home, drove brand new vehicles, toys galore, took expensive vacations, and seemed to have it all. I HATED my life! So, videos like yours and other creators inspired me to do something WILD! We sold our house, moved out to the country to start and off-grid homestead. We live in a tiny house. We raise sheep and chickens and I started a solar install business. I got completely put of debt. I got to pursue my dream to get a Personal Trainer Certification. I teach boxing and mma part time at a local gym. I'm free! I love my life now! I'm no longer a slave to my debts. I'm building my business slowly and organically and have met so many interesting people along the way and made so many new friends. I'm so glad I followed my heart and took that leap of faith. Thank you for inspiring me!
I just found you this morning, the day after Thanksgiving! I have watched a couple of you videos, and I am anxious to watch more. Young and carefree. I was that a few moons ago. Now, I am a wife of 31 years, momma to two great kids, two in loves I love to pieces, and 6 grandkids that call me Nana! Excited to see where your new chapter brings you!
