  • Where exactly did Van Gogh paint The Yellow House? Or The Night Café? Or even Starry Night Over the Rhône? I’m taking you everywhere he painted in Arles and beyond. Come stand where he stood and see what’s changed in the last century--and what remains exactly the same. Absolutely AMAZING experience! 🌻🖼️🎦
Next location is St Rémy, where I’ll take you inside the room where he painted Starry Night. You’ll get to hear from Dr. Jean-March Boulon, a psychiatrist, author, and renowned VanGogh expert.

Haha! You bet! It really was the perfect time to go down there. I also filmed an episode at Monet's house and gardens at the same time. Equally perfect timing! Be sure to check it out!

I really enjoyed this video, I learned some things about Van Gogh that I didn't know. I've been to Arles before and plan to visit again soon. Thanks!

That means a lot coming from someone who has visited before! If you go again you have to take the short drive to St Rémy. The next episode in this series is all about St Rémy, be sure to check it out! Thanks again!

Fantastic. And i wonder why Van Gogh never painted or depicted bulls, havivg been a frequent vusitor to bullfights in that Arena (which i didnt know about and I certainly find interesting). It is a pity, at the same time; i am thinking of how recurrent that subject was for Picasso, who also frequented bullfights.

Wow, is a really great point and contrast to Picasso, who wasn’t really that far from here! Since van Gogh never really painted animals in almost any of his works, I guess he really wasn’t that interested. Often wonder with many of his emotional issues if painting people helped him somehow connect with others.
Super appreciate the feedback, and thanks for watching and subscribing!

Actually, I'm not wrong, and I'm not right! If you head over to my instagram page I made a video all about this.

The reality is no one says his name correctly except in Dutch, which has vowel sounds we do not have in English. In fact, in France, England, and the US we all say it differently, and all are perfectly fine pronunciations.
