That ball is purtyyyy. Interested to see if the cover breaks in. Doesn't look as aggressive as I thought it would be. Definitely a little bit rounder than the Venom Shock
Great review. I have one on the way. Beyond pumped. What are your thoughts on having the OG Shock in the same bag? I was thinking of hitting it with TruCut P5000D to add length to it to separate it a little more.
Saw someone say newer Motiv stuff needs a longer pin. Do you use a longer pin for Motiv in general or is it more specific to this house having wood lanes?
We all at the shop bowl on synthetic and wood lanes. I use a 5inch pin on must of my stuff. i like the layout 70x5x50 because it allows me to control and manipulate the bowling ball. But Motiv specifically I normally have success with 4.25 to 6 inch pins. full traction layouts and Motiv just don't match up well for me.
I do have a question. I heard you mention lifting the ball. Ok so let me see if I explain thus correctly. If you loft the ball vs let your release just after the fail line does that shape change reaction point even if you are close with let 22 going on say 14 on both shots being that the first shot from just past the fault line has more roll on the lane then when lofting your starts to roll later and shape being you lofted the ball father out before it starts to shape. Correct even if its in same area of the lane per say.
Lofting can delay shape in theory. Normally lofting the ball comes with slower speed so it normally causes the ball to read a little earlier ... there are a lot of variables in play for a quick answer.
So it’s an earlier venom shock right? How do you think it compares to a C300 messenger solid if you’ve used one? That’s my current benchmark but it’s a bit worn.
Earlier yes. stronger mid lane and the cover definitely handles more oil for sure!! the messenger solid is similar to the venom shock in my opinion. this is going to be earlier and stronger through the mid then the Columbia 300 messenger.
This dude needs a lot of work on his aim to make it consistent. This ball looks smooth like the original venom. I was told that both of them roll the same but slightly stronger due to coverstock. Thank you for sharing!
Aaron was a little rusty in this video lol. I called him in on Saturday morning to film. No warm up shots at all just jumped right in to it. That being said Huge Shout Out to Aaron for bringing the fam in on short notice to film for us on a Saturday. Now to the important stuff. lol. the EXJ is earlier and rounder and eats the mid lane a Lot better then the venom shock. The EXJ is truly a benchmark symmetrical solid.
Motiv says the Duramax additive will help with less lane shine They changed the release date June 12 now Oh well it will get here when it gets here lol
Almost every Venom release is pushed back lol. We almost should expect at least a week delay. Yes I'm hoping the additive helps. We will be back in 50 games with a review. Let's see if the cover holds true.
Man thay was hard to watch either it doesn't fit him and his style or he's camera shy either way that was rough to watch lol good ball though love mine !
Aaron is a little shy lol. He also took some time off for the birth of his daughter, so yeah he was little rusty lol. I appreciate the honesty!! This was his first fresh off the press after the baby was born.
@XInThePit well that's awesome I can understand that too. Hopefully he'll come around to the Motiv Nation. I use to be a brunswick guy, got the OG forza I've been hooked since. Using the black venom, shock, and now this EXJ. Love the videos, Keep em up 🤘
Sa-Weet! I can't believe Motiv only brought this out in a limited quanity. I bet we'll see this cover on a regular Venom solid. Good stuff guys!
This is going to be a lot of people bench mark ball!! Crazy its only limited availability.

yes rounder and earlier for sure!! can't wait to see the cover break in!!!!

I can tell you that you for sure can have both in the same bag!! the venom shock is a ball down from the EXJ Venom.
