So, for example when Doug was chosen, there is in fact a short break taken. The contestant then is given a radio mic, and Noel is presented with the card with the facts about the contestant. This little 5 minute break ensures the banker receives Doug's file. Hope this helps clear up - the banker has no idea who will be chosen.
