I started watching this channel about 1 year ago. Id say Devon is the best guest you've had on your channel, with 134 pounds of power lady a close second. Devon's demeanor, and willingness to teach and explain every little aspect is such satisfying content.

Static strength is no joke. Tryed armwrestling an older dude in my gym, who is amateur arm wrestler, could not move his arm, even though I have bigger arms. I felt like a kid armwrestling a dad.

@@Josh2Shakir - It's more about having strength in the right way (trained for it). A person with bigger and denser muscle, will lose to a smaller actual armwrestler, even if they both have good technique.
Unless the strength gap is quite dang large overall.. then the non-armwrestler can get away with it (if we give him good enough technique).
Just grab the table and use your whole body weight and also literally fall to the ground so the guy has to basically hold your entire body weight with his arm to win, thats how arm wrestling works right right?right?right?right?right?

@@Canel062_ Depends I think. If you see super skinny dudes doing all kinds of karate moves on the machines? That's a gym fail. But a very muscular dude, doing moves like the cheat rep? That's usually a specific move for a sport. Not to mention the hazard that comes with abusing certain machines in a way, it was never designed for.
As long as you don't hurt yourself, anything can work, as long as it's comfortable for you.
Saw a guy doing deadlifts with his toes up on a platform and heels on the ground doing straight leg deadlifts. After he was clearly in pain. Didn't want to tell him differently because I'm the skinny guy.

I think how Devon is able to explain things in ways to make less educated people understand things is amazing and they have inspiring attitudes that is intoxicating in a way that you can't stop watching. John has been dominant across 3 decades, but not without challeneges. Devon has really only been dominant the last 10 years

Devon's arms aren't that "big" because his triceps are so underdeveloped compared to his biceps and his wing span is massive also you don't need much triceps in armwrestling so it makes sense

@@gogogo7538 No, Denis is a weight lifter for arm wrestling as well. He only lifts what's good for wrists. He doesn't do deadlifts either. He adapted strongman training for arm wrestling though.

Devon's arm measurement is smaller than Juji's just because his triceps aren't developed to the point of his biceps. I could only imagine how many more inches he'd get there with his triceps trained for while.

The first episode I wasn't sure how well he would mesh with you guys but that quickly ended. Maybe it is his unconventional style of training mixed with you guys always trying new stuff but it didn't take long till he really seemed like one of the group. Shame he isn't closer to you guys to drop in, he truly seemed like a kindred spirit.
