I don't know why everyone keeps comparing him to mark king... Wotjek has his own amazing style and adds a groove that (in my opinion) is completely different and phenomenal in its own way. The only thing that's even comparable about these two is the tape on their thumbs. Wotjek, you are an inspiration to bass players everywhere. Thank you for all the amazing sounds and harmonies
Ben Schwartz - I Discovered Wojtek P this year, I think, and since then, he has fetched it regularly from the web. His skillful attack on high-price basses with his Atom thumb gives me great pleasure, rarely ever discovering such gold nowadays. But there has been something with him I haven't been able to put my finger on until now. Mark King, of course, Level 42. a group I've liked for many decades. my wife's favorite group. I feel stupid, but I want to thank you for solving the mystery. Where Wojtek learned the way he plays, he has listened to Mark King in Level 42.
I know all that are mentioned by KH here and he’s up there for me, I think Les Claypool is in the convo but with Primus being such a unique band, he is overlooked
While I made that comment 8yrs ago,he is STILL a force to be reckoned with & I am obsessed with Henrik Linder, he's an absolute killer & DL as a band are on a different spectrum all together.
The last part of the solo (with the audience participation) reminds me of the solo from Level 42's Mark King from the Live At Wimbley '87 album. Great stuff.
Tremendous!! I have had the pleasure to hear Wojtek play live two different times at Frankfurt Musik Messe and to talk with him as well. He is a great guy as well as a tremendous bass player!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing. The truth is that you are very good at bass and you get inspired a lot. And another thing, I love the song "Fair of noise", very cool. precious. Greetings.
you are a master in the technic you show in your solos. But after listening to a view of your videos I want to say something about it: It all sounds similar... same tempo and the same rythm patterns with percusive muting and slapping...ending with neck bend. Instead of filling these patterns up with even more fiddeling there should come out more the musical aspect to make it a overall better solo - at least for the audience
@@ZYCIEGWIAZD24 I'm not implying that he's not awesome I'm just saying that on the video in which I was speaking of, I wasn't feeling guys phrasing but love his technique. He's awesome 👌👏😎
The funkiest slap bass solo ever. I’m speechless…
5:25 how appropriate is the smoke behind him...the guy's on fire! absolutely mind blowing

I do agree. They both are great players; but Mark goes one direction and Mr. W goes into the stratosphere!!!😌👍🏾🎸🎶

Only Mark uses tape, Wotjek uses a rubber grommet. He's obviously influenced by MK, by has his own style
They both wear a watch while playing ;)
Without a doubt the most awesome bass player in the world, the harmonics in the beginning give me chills, you've excelled yourself Mr.Pilichowski!!
Check out Henrik Linder, Victor Wooten, Andy C Saxton and Evan Brewer :) There's a lot of great bass players out there!

So cool man. It's like he has toms in every tone and he can just play drums melodically. Way cool man.
Notice the polish folk know how to clap to get a backbeat- the funk transcends boundaries everywhere!

Very well played reminded me of Mark king solo live at Wembley some years back very nice sound ...
incredible .grammy.oscar,nobel for this guy
Dude is cold.
este é o cara !
Superb!!!!!
Black tape of his thumb must be a respect for Mark King,I think.
Awesome bass player!!
marcusjazzbass i think it's a thumb pick, Mark King used one because he was having problems with his thumbs after playing for so long (and so hard!)
It's kind of leather ring (quite thick), and it protects his thumb, because he may get it damaged because of that hard and fast slapping.
+milou80 I've wrapped my thumb for 25 years for the same reason. MK was the first to popularize this back in the '80's.
Polonez FSO 1500 is a key to the riddle ;) It was 17 years ago when I heard the story from Wojtek :)
The best EVER!!!!!!!!!?
Wow toca perrisimo este brother
Thee Worlds best bassist. I'm Les,Flee.
he is realy good, and adds a little difference to Mark king style but i dont thinl he has the same slick funky soulful style of mr Mark King
El señor maestro
@Davie504 could never ever play this!
Somehow Davies Chanel is more entertainig.

Damn, faster than AK-47 :-)
Everything Les Claypool wishes he could be.

god he must be underpaid in poland
kraftyrevolution unfortunately he is. was to his concert once and less than 20 people came. from what i know he is in usa now.

I prefer listen you Wojtek alone in your solo.
He's like Tommy Emmanuel of the bass world
That guitar needs to press charges.
SLAP SUPREME
Too strong :D
Seguro la mayoría del publico son bajistas jajajaja que buen video.
😱...
The best!
Mark King 😀

Nie wiedziałem ze z gitary można strzelac jak z karabinu, juz wiem

His arms move like a cartoon jesus
Similar sound to Mark King
Victor Wooten look out!

Crowd is clapping on the two and four! 30 years of def jam comedy making fun of white peoples clapping has finally paid off!
xD
They Can’t even keep up with the clapping his that fast, good better with out it
Timing
I Feel sorry for the bass guitar 😆
she is used to ;)
Mark King Clone
You can definitely see that he is heavily influenced my MK. Still a great bassist!
Kevin Lynch Absolutely! In fact it's like Mark King on steroids! This skill is insane!
WTF 5:24
Not saying he isn't great, but when you play bass that fast, the notes lose their definition and it just ends up sounding monotonous and mechanical.
Guy is great, but Mark King is better.
Great skill, but show me something besides slapping a bass. There is a whole world to bass other than just some mad slapping technique.
ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
His phrasing makes no sense. He's just a awesome slapper but a great bassist technique wise
slapper ? phrasing no sense... ua-cam.com/video/XQqINJ8ivnY/v-deo.html

"impressionante" but no soul... too much rumor.
Less is more.
