Technically not whp.. thats hp at the hubs. Have seen vehicles gain 40+ hp on hub dynos... hub dynos are def better for tuning thats for sure. More accurate. None the less nice vid 🔥🔥🔥

You mean more like 10-20 rwhp gains on hub dynos. I've never seen any street-legal vehicles gain anywhere close to 40+ rwhp on a hub dyno, and I've seen many cars/trucks on a hub dyno compared to DynoJet numbers.

When you had the Mach 1 at Carlisle Pennsylvania. I had the chance to hear it in person with the AWE exhaust. The videos do it no justice. Nice deep tone. It will give a gear head a Woody. LoL.

So it made 463whp and ran a 12.0?? I would say something is off with that dyno. My 2018 stock ran 11.89 including stock tires

Dyno seems to be on the generous side. And then deduct roughly 15 to 20 from that number since it does not have to turn any wheel and tire rotating mass. Until tuning becomes available to unlock the speed limiter and do a true one to one gear pull, I bet it does somewhere between 425 to 440..

A performance kit of some type will be an amazing thing… either turbo or supercharged that power curve was very linear for stock!
Pretty impressive IMO.. figure around 510-515 at the crank or so.. that's solid. Even though the torque isn't crazy, it is pretty flat across the curve and probably feels great. I wonder why it wouldn't go to redline.. I would assume that the hub dyno puts enough resistance on the car to replicate driving on the road. Will it rev up in 5th to redline driving?
My guess is the designers/marketing thought a 7500 would be cool but the engineers/warranty team said otherwise.
I agree def impressive! 5th gear to 7k rpm was the sweet spot! all others gears were kicking us out before redline, but my take away is that once tuning is free and ready and we can really see these new 5.0's sing!

What size rears rims are you running on the dark horse ?
hey fam these are welds drag pack the tire size and rims are a 18" beadlock and a 305/45/18 tire

Hey @stangmode does your dark horse ever occasionally start ticking? Im at about 1300 miles and every once in a while on start up it ticks and then goes away and picks up a tick again while driving. Sounds like its coming from the front of the motor. Ive check belts and everything and cant seem to pin it down
I bet it has to do with the VVT the variable valve timing
hey fam you could be mistaking ticking for variable valve timming just make sure you have enough oil in it
Honestly every mustang I've ever owned ticks at some point. 2v, 3v, 4v, GT, GT350, they all tick. It's quite annoying but seems normal

Where does it say anything about a mileage break in ? And a power increase after break in ? ...If there was one Ford would literally prevent the engine from going into that RPM level, for example the Corvette literally you can see the tachometer RPMs increase when it's out of break in time.... don't tell me it's in the owner's manual unless you have a page.

Wheel with wheel and tire is only way to get correct tires and do rob horsepower anyway you look at it peruod.
The only car I’d pay $100,000 and over that doesn’t make over 500hp to the wheels is a 991 and 997 GT3’s.

It's called a hub dyno.. more accurate. No wheel spin.. will gain more hp because it doesn't have to rotate heavy wheels.. up to 40hp and more on some cars

Dark Horse has been a total flop. They are selling them here for over 80k LMFAO, no thanks. I’m getting a GT500 for that.

WTF! I’m at a TOTAL LOSS of understanding why I spent time watching this! 5th is NOT 1 to 1! Which makes the numbers totally inaccurate. Also not revving past seven makes the numbers totally inaccurate for total horsepower. GEEEZ🤦♂️. I’m afraid this is a thumbs down for this video stangmode
