Yeah especially after their latest album... House on First was a big letdown + their reviews on iTunes is clocking at 3 out 5 stars (that’s not good unfortunately...). The Black is my favorite AA album due to the raw emotion & power they brought.
I'd suggest Let it Sleep. The song reveals Denis's true vocal range in so many different ways and the musical structure of the song itself is enough for me to heavily admire. Strongly suggest you give it a hear.
Love the song too, but yeah the effect is probably the only thing I'm not too big on. Also, for me and probably most fans, the whole bridge/outro is easily the best part of the song. I know it's probably heresy to say this, but I don't see a breakdown fitting well into this song. Another amazing song from this album is 'Let it Sleep'. It's one of the heaviest AA tracks.
6:50 literally almost every song from their older records. This song is actually one of the most melodic songs from the album. Check out Let It Sleep, Undivided and Circle by the Wolves from the same album. Good and heavy shit.
The audio engineer himself made a lot of changes in their music like putting a lot of electronic music vocal effect like stuttering effect, chopping effect and so on to make the song sounded catchy but during live performance, it will not be perform as exactly audio as we listened to but I don't know how they perform the song live without the effect. Still wondering how they get The Black perform on stage. Most of the time they will perform The Final Episode because it is easy to perform as Ben Bruce can be the backup singer and the song got not much effects on the vocal except for the "radio/telephone" effect on 1 part of the scream vocal which still can be covered by the main vocalist himself.
Fun Fact: Denis came from “Make Me Famous” and eventually made his way to AA after Danny left for medical reasons. Denis also has a band called, “DRAG ME OUT”. 🤘🏽
The effect that you mention just now is stuttering effect. 1 of the audio, the engineer has tuned it into another key. Usually the effect are mostly been used in most of electronic musics including hip hop.
If you want that specific break and anger then check out: Let It Sleep by Asking Alexandria (from the same album). It’s a lot heavy and it’ll appeal to what you are looking for. 😁🤘
This song is a message from Ben Bruce (the lead guitarists) to Danny Worsnop after he quit the band. Telling him how much he has always needed him and is so pissed off that he left them without warning.
I think they said in an interview once that this song is about Ben's wife or ex-wife or something similar. Admittedly it sounds like it's about Danny but just from what I remember they said, that it's not 😅 I know when the album starts, Ben talks about making the album not about Danny, but then the entire thing sounds like a breakup letter to Danny 😂
Denis was a tool but I still somewhat respect him he’s brought a lot to the genre and put in work 1) make me famous 2)down&dirty 3)asking Alexandria 4)origami 5) drag me out Dudes talented
The effect on the chorus is just a glitchy kind of effect, also seen in Throne by BMTH, which I guess is an easier way to create a chorus with less words than required to fill the space haha
The reason why UA-cam places a warning on this song is for good reason. This song is about Danny leaving the band. Everyone felt betrayed. And made the new guy sing it. Which he did flawlessly. Because it talks about emotional pain, there is a lot of references to harming yourself. If someone just left a bad relationship they could listen to this and be moved to do something drastic. TL:DR The UA-cam warning is because it talks about harming yourself or something worse. That I wont say because my comment will get deleted.
You’d enjoy a very recent release by The Dead Rabbitts called Rumination, it’s fronted by Craig mabbitt who is also vocalist for Escape The Fate now. It’s pretty interesting definitely worth checking out
dude u need to have a look at These ones by them A candlelit dinner, Nobody dance no more, Hey there Mr. Brooke I Grew up listening to AA that album was ok but all there old old stuff that's there good shit ! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
You should do I Won’t Give In from this same album! So good. Also Dennis Stoff is currently in a Ukrainian Metalcore band called Drag Me Out and you should check out their track the Watcb of the Buried
U want a mouth full hoopsick? Listen to if you can’t ride two horses at once you should get out the circus;) It’s an AA song. Also nobody dances no more and I used to have a best friend
A.A went straight to shit after this album , Danny came back after this album and he brought back his new love for bubble gum pop rock back with him and they completely flipped genres from metal core scream’o brutal breakdowns to if Justin Bieber and Nickel Back had a baby A. A would be the shit they birthed now. R. I. P ............. A. A 🤷🏻♂️
“It’s all Danny’s fault”. Jesus you people need to realize that the whole band decided to go this new direction. Danny doesn’t have some mystical power over them. If they still wanted to make metal, they would get a different vocalist and do it
You really need to check out let it sleep or not the American average. Those songs slap like hell. 💜👌 Edit: ok so only let it sleep left, just watched your older reaction haha
Yeah they def over used that "glitch" effect throughout this entire album, but I still stand by my opinion that this is their best album since SUAS & RR. But yeah, check out let it sleep. It's exactly what you came here for
A big breakdown wouldn't of made sense at the end of the song. It was an emotional build up with the piano, etc. So IMO you've lost context with the song.
The last half decent AA album. Dennis is a garbage human, but a great vocalist. His band he was in before (and then again after this) was basically AA worship, and they got a lot of initial attention for his voice.
Except Danny is less of an asshole than Denis, and Danny runs circles around Denis vocally in literally every possible way. Also the entire band is like 30 now. They weren't gonna make metalcore forever. That obviously didn't work out with Dahvie Vanity the middle-aged scene prick.
@@Pepper_Jvck both are assholes, and my fav AA era is the 1st two redords with danny, my point isn't that I don't like they now for the type of music they do, bands can change and still maintain quality (bmth for example) but it's not they're case, the last two records are just generic and boring shit.
@@theopv2095 From my experience, Danny is a charismatic and all around friendly guy. He may come off as arrogant but he's just confident and... well, British. He's pretty sarcastic, but not aggressively rude about it. Same kind of energy I get from Ryan Reynolds. As for the sound, that's something we can agree to disagree on. I'm not picky, but you're pickier than I, and I'll respect that. But still- that's no cause to be a hater. I have artists I don't like, but I'm not gonna aggressively shit on them for not sounding like the type of music I like. That's just not right.
This is my favorite song from the album as well as “Here I Am”. I don’t mean to sound like a dick and with all due respect but I honestly feel a bit disrespected you don’t like the song considering how much I relate to this song and how it influenced me when it came to my own personal writing.

Let it sleep is probably the heaviest song on the album and Send me home is the most melodic, but both are awesome.
send me home? or "gone"?
Fucking banger song, it just sucks that Dennis was a total tool, he was a great vocalist
Yeah, unfortunate. Definitely preferred Dennis over current Danny.
Yeah especially after their latest album... House on First was a big letdown + their reviews on iTunes is clocking at 3 out 5 stars (that’s not good unfortunately...). The Black is my favorite AA album due to the raw emotion & power they brought.
Do you know Dennis has another band called drag me out that he’s currently in
@@thebuckethatguy
I did not, are they any good?
@@Mighty_Bangus they are good
you should check out "Breathless" by them, brutal lows
Up
I'd suggest Let it Sleep.
The song reveals Denis's true vocal range in so many different ways and the musical structure of the song itself is enough for me to heavily admire. Strongly suggest you give it a hear.
Also, you wanted The Black to break, this one I recommended does, and all I can say is I hope you didn't run out of fresh changes of undergarments.
Love the song too, but yeah the effect is probably the only thing I'm not too big on. Also, for me and probably most fans, the whole bridge/outro is easily the best part of the song. I know it's probably heresy to say this, but I don't see a breakdown fitting well into this song.

This album heavily underrated honestly. I despise this song tho, not because its bad I just overplayed tf out of it when I was younger.
A lesson never learned and Morte Et Dabo epic heavy song by AA. And Closure is my favourite
A Lesson Never Learned is a truly underrated song
I feel like the only person to have liked literally everything Asking Alexandria has released.
Your definitely not I love it too
Let it Sleep BREAKS AF. PLEASE LISTEN TO IT JRKSKFNEKKS
Everyone said this singer saved the band and I think he did
And then he fucked off because he was a fuckin tool

One of all time favorite song. The lyrics hit so hard
6:50 literally almost every song from their older records. This song is actually one of the most melodic songs from the album. Check out Let It Sleep, Undivided and Circle by the Wolves from the same album. Good and heavy shit.
Album “The Black” is brilliant
I need the intro music to your channel
You should check out another band with Denis named Down and Dirty. Check out their songs Move It and I Will Never Lose My Way
Move it I suggest over IWNLMY
Yes, for sure check these out
The audio engineer himself made a lot of changes in their music like putting a lot of electronic music vocal effect like stuttering effect, chopping effect and so on to make the song sounded catchy but during live performance, it will not be perform as exactly audio as we listened to but I don't know how they perform the song live without the effect. Carnifex - Hell chose me or Lie to your face

My inner emo still thinks Dennis is super hot.. can't get past it and it's 2022

Great reaction 🖤
“Circled By The Wolves” off the same album will give you the break your looking for and much more
I honestly forgot how much this album kinda slapped
Asking alexandria - Poison
Please more from this album!!
Reckless & Relentless is easily their best album! You have to react to songs off that record, Closure or Morte Et Dabo would be great
i wont give in, great song dude
I'm not a big fan of that album but this is one of the best songs they've written imo
The effect that you mention just now is stuttering effect. 1 of the audio, the engineer has tuned it into another key. Usually the effect are mostly been used in most of electronic musics including hip hop.

Saw them live just about before the release of this album.
So good live
Danny was toasted though
Let It Sleep is da best!
