One of my best friends introduced me into Sasha, especially into this album. He was there when I was at my lowest point of life. We were listening to this album und hat the greatest time while I was recovering from a breakup. Now, I am engaged to this love of my life and I am not able to share it with my friend due to his death of cancer. He was the beste. He became only 32. Love him. I am listening to this album, trying to be in touch with him. Miss you Patrick. RIP
I can not even describe how many amazing, lovely, fun filled, life-changing evenings up-till-dawn weekends I've experienced to this album. I have no doubt, that when I'm dying, if someone were to ask me to name the top 10 albums of my life, this would be in the list. I turn 54 next week :-)
cypherks Reading your comment is awesome. I could have written every word you have chosen. I have such an emotional attachment to this mix. So many late nights, early mornings with best friends and my brother, just simply loving life. thank you for you comment. Along with listening to this mix again your comment has brought me right back in time. Thank you. :)
+ Declan Kearns I was one of the 'older' crasher kids out there every weekend living it up, I was only in my thirties, life is for living age shouldn't stop you at all. Kids no fuck all.
@@orlduniverse Those are great albums that pushed a lot of things forward. But their craft was much more developed by the time they made the Expeditions and Communicate albums. And nothing on either of those first two Northern Exposure albums can compare with the mastery and technical prowess of Involver 1. They would tell you the same thing; they were just scratching the surface in 96'. But all of those albums deserve to be in the "Hall of Fame."
Love Sasha. I can't believe this passed me by. Chat GPT stated it as a one of the best progressive house albums! First time listening in 2024 and looking at the comments I'm in for a treat....
One of the finest mixes ever made. For travelling on your lonesome get it on and lose yourself. So many bus trips staring out windows with this. Emotional stuff.

Man. I swear to God ... I was driving the first time I heard this album right after I got it from the record store. I had to pull over a couple times because I was literally in tears. Then, I completely lost my shit with Burma.
I frackin love this comment section. Sasha, felix, danny howel, john digweed my good god i miss those days. Burnt the feet off myself when i saw these guys live. Keep a bottle of water close by coz you will need it my tiny dancers😎😥✌✊👐
Masterpiece! I was 18 when this released, in the middle of my last year of high school! They don’t make albums like this anymore! @sasha please remaster it!
I love "Cut me down" by Sasha but wish I had the lyrics. Can't find them. I will definitely check out Burma immediately. (after I enjoy cut me down...)
Emotions, such emotions. It takes me back to when me and my girlfriend first started seeing each other, 12 years ago. We're still together, and every note of this album still sounds perfect.
No matter how many times I come back to re-visit Sasha's Involver, it sounds fresh and relevant, each and every time. A seamlessly mixed, meaningful masterpiece of chilled electronica.
Still “spinning” this in ‘23! I remember when this came out. I cranked it up in my little Florida appt and just sat there…mind blown. Like nothing I had heard up to that point.
it is indeed that good. timeless masterpiece. I wish he got back to this sound, exploring new directions is understandable, but I think he did not get to such a great soundscape the later years.
HDC Certainly not better than Involver, but also thoroughly impressive imho: Four Tet's Fabriclive (techno, UK garage), the DJ-Kicks editions mixed by John Talabot (downtempo house) and Motor City Drum Ensemble (soul, house), and The Grandfather Paradox by Âme, Dixon and Henrik Schwarz (differnt kinds of minimal music).
I forgot how brilliant this album is. I haven't listened to it in probably good 10 years and it brings back to many memories and is just hasn't aged at all. Thank you.
One of the BEST albums EVER! Should be included in the Electronic music Patrimony of our world. Gorgeous, excellent, very fine, powerful, authentic, hymn of LOVE.
I can't believe it's not on there. I have it somewhere in my CD book still luckily. That's why I still keep all my CD's, seems like Spotify doesn't have everything.
Reading all the comments about doing coke to this song is outside of my realm. I don't need coke to get amped when I listen to this. DJ Sasha will and has always been the best!
I own this album - both discs are excellent - and have played through SO many times, still sounds spot on - lots of colour, warmth, soul and chunky heartiness.

Possibly the best electronic album of all time. Heard this album in 2004 when I was 14 years old. Changed everything for me. Unfortunately Involver 2 & 3 don't even come close.
A set full of emotions and love. It flows like a stream and turns into a waterfall. I cry when I listen to it. The best you've created. Thanks. I love you.
+Joe Temczuk Beautiful. I can only imagine the joy you must have felt! Years ago when i began to entertain the idea of DJing, setting up my gear and playing this album for a few friends sealed the deal. Seeing him live in a couple of days. So very happy!
This mix is absolutely incredible. Every song is so unique beneath the beat and I love every single one of them. Thank you Sasha for mixing this together.
I listwn to this album every autumn, especially in November. I like to ride my bike in the darkness and listen to it. I find this album quite deep and fitting to autums vibes. Especially I adore lostep. Thank you Sasha! ❤️

This album should be inducted in the Hall of Fame of Progressive House music.
Have you heard Sasha & Digweed’s Northern Exposure 1 & 2? ❤ 🙏

Sasha Layed foundations that resurface years later.

The best mix ever, hands down. If you think otherwise you really don't know what the hell you talking about.
I applaud your musical arrogance
HDC ignorance*
Zane Beadles
Get over yourself, it was clearly just a bit of musical banter. Feel free to share something better though, i'm all ears...

Nathan Kilcourse True, but Joris Voorn's Balance is up there too
This is one of the greatest albums of all time.
Sublime. Sasha at his best. The other 2 Involvers are good but this is todger tremblingly good.
Totally agree and I think you should register todger tremblingly good and market T-shirts with it on.
