Forever a masterpiece mate
Ohhh yeahhhhhhhhhj

Who is listening to this in 2024?
Third time this week.. oh sasha sasha
😂😂😂 omg this is aging like fine wine and so are we 🙌🙌
been listening to it since it first came out on CD. absolutely brilliant mix. Sasha is the absolute master.
Me. A masterpiece.
Meeeee
One of my best friends introduced me into Sasha, especially into this album. He was there when I was at my lowest point of life. We were listening to this album und hat the greatest time while I was recovering from a breakup. Now, I am engaged to this love of my life and I am not able to share it with my friend due to his death of cancer. He was the beste. He became only 32. Love him. I am listening to this album, trying to be in touch with him. Miss you Patrick. RIP
He is at your side always.
Always connected through the Remembrance of Sasha's music. 🙏
This album has been so very much a part of my spirit and my life and is included in most of my daily ritual
of listening to music
One of the absolute most soothing albums ever
My condolences. He lives on through the sounscapes of your memories and the memories of your soundscapes.
Every few years I'll revisit this and remember. What a masterpiece.
and that's the truth...masterful
Absolutely, just don't wait that long, haha.
I hope a 4th installment comes out🙏🥳
It's time
This is what I came back here to say. Completely agree. Another one for me is Strange Cargo Hinterland. Classics.
2023 and this is still perfect!!!
This album should be inducted in the Hall of Fame of Progressive House music.
Have you heard Sasha & Digweed’s Northern Exposure 1 & 2? ❤ 🙏
Он действительно ШИКАРЕН - ЖЫЫР.
I agree! If there ever was such a thing. There definitely should be though
@@orlduniverse Those are great albums that pushed a lot of things forward. But their craft was much more developed by the time they made the Expeditions and Communicate albums. And nothing on either of those first two Northern Exposure albums can compare with the mastery and technical prowess of Involver 1. They would tell you the same thing; they were just scratching the surface in 96'. But all of those albums deserve to be in the "Hall of Fame."
I can not even describe how many amazing, lovely, fun filled, life-changing evenings up-till-dawn weekends I've experienced to this album. I have no doubt, that when I'm dying, if someone were to ask me to name the top 10 albums of my life, this would be in the list. I turn 54 next week :-)
cypherks Reading your comment is awesome. I could have written every word you have chosen. I have such an emotional attachment to this mix. So many late nights, early mornings with best friends and my brother, just simply loving life. thank you for you comment. Along with listening to this mix again your comment has brought me right back in time. Thank you. :)
+ Declan Kearns I was one of the 'older' crasher kids out there every weekend living it up, I was only in my thirties, life is for living age shouldn't stop you at all. Kids no fuck all.
My boss will be 50 soon, and me and him Jam out to Sasha at work all the time
So nostalgic all these compilations almost have me in tears...ahhh the good old days!!
Same here man this is one of the best albums of all time
One of the finest mixes ever made. For travelling on your lonesome get it on and lose yourself.
So many bus trips staring out windows with this. Emotional stuff.
Amen
17 years??? Holy crap where does the time go? Feels like it just got released yesterday…
Sasha is a genius …
That breakdown in Belong by Spooky still gives me goosebumps. Just perfect.
Everything Sasha has done emits a unique particular warmth.
Jeremy Miller spot on
It will never get old. MASTERPIECE

Sasha is on another level when it comes to mixing and editing tracks! He is a true artist and Involver a masterpiece!
Don't forget Charlie May-his right hand in all this.
Masterpiece! I was 18 when this released, in the middle of my last year of high school! They don’t make albums like this anymore! @sasha please remaster it!
2019..... Still the Ultimate..... I cry every time I hear the first track..... Lostep.... Burma.. I cry some more!!!
same
Man. I swear to God ... I was driving the first time I heard this album right after I got it from the record store. I had to pull over a couple times because I was literally in tears. Then, I completely lost my shit with Burma.
2020 and same but for these days. THE ultimate set
I frackin love this comment section. Sasha, felix, danny howel, john digweed my good god i miss those days. Burnt the feet off myself when i saw these guys live. Keep a bottle of water close by coz you will need it my tiny dancers😎😥✌✊👐
wow,,,
Emotions, such emotions. It takes me back to when me and my girlfriend first started seeing each other, 12 years ago. We're still together, and every note of this album still sounds perfect.
funkdakarma beautiful mate, same here, this album alone has got us through some of the best and I mean worst times in our lives. love your story😁
Same experience here, married since then :-)
the mix of Petter's and UNKLE's tracks is one of the strongest musical memories engraved in my brain for life. Literally showered in shivers right now. Masterpiece!
just supreme..original is fantastic, this mix superb
flagsong of this album
Best part of the whole damn mix/album
You're not alone, I dont remember how many times I had to replay to understand the beauty of this transition.
Its outrageous mate such vision and beauty
this album helped ensure I would be into electronic dance music forever
Haha really? That really saying something about this album. Awesome! This is one of those album that can indeed really inspire you.

+Resin Ball it's awesome

Still so good, after all these years.
yolandaBEcool this was such a game changer... still gives me goosebumps
One of the best albums 💯 No matter how much time passes, I just keep coming back to listen - time & time again 💗
Still “spinning” this in ‘23! I remember when this came out. I cranked it up in my little Florida appt and just sat there…mind blown. Like nothing I had heard up to that point.
No matter how many times I come back to re-visit Sasha's Involver, it sounds fresh and relevant, each and every time. A seamlessly mixed, meaningful masterpiece of chilled electronica.
Barry Varkel fucking well said bro!
I couldnt have said it better myself barry absolute magic that never ages
Ah I don't care what anyone says, still sounds amazing in 2021.
WHo’s talking shit about this album?
The Youngsters - Smile is one of the best songs of all Involver compilations.

After 18y of listening to electronic music in general... Today /dec2018/ I discovered this album and am blown away
Sasha its one of the most talented artist of our time! One of the BEST albums ever! :D
Indeed
Sasha Layed foundations that resurface years later.
you do realise that it's a DJ mix?
Umm which of these tracks did he write? He's a great dj, not artist
How don't you realize he put out his own music also
WOW! No Listens.SINCE 2020!?!? Ouchies.😢
Welpsies I'm HERE to LYK music will NEVER Die!!!! Woot Woot!! Ayoooo 2024 BayBeeee😁😅🤷🏻♀️🥳🤩
Um, no.still, one of my fave mixes by Sir Sasha!
Burma is without a doubt one the MOST beautiful songs ever created!
Thank you sasha!
I agree with you
I love "Cut me down" by Sasha but wish I had the lyrics. Can't find them.
I will definitely check out Burma immediately. (after I enjoy cut me down...)
Blessed are those who can experience and understand Sasha's work.
one of my favourites
J R indeed. Well put, my friend. I, too am one of the chosen ones.
Sublime. Sasha at his best. The other 2 Involvers are good but this is todger tremblingly good.
Totally agree and I think you should register todger tremblingly good and market T-shirts with it on.
I miss Sasha and Digweed at Twilo NYC once a month! The 90s were the best! We were so spoiled back then, such amazing times
love the building of Burma, rattles on, becoming a bigger, more expansive and wilder ride
The most meaningful album of my life
Listening since 2004 and now 2022 and so on😎
It doesn't get any better than this, this album can easily improve any day for me.
it is indeed that good. timeless masterpiece. I wish he got back to this sound, exploring new directions is understandable, but I think he did not get to such a great soundscape the later years.
just invol
This album has such a subtle darkness to it. It has such power and feeling to it, if you really pay attention.
Still unbelieveble mix. One of the greatest ever...
Only the best cd-mix ever released.
Still the best mix of all time
Such a top shelf album. Stands the test of time.
I forgot how brilliant this album is. I haven't listened to it in probably good 10 years and it brings back to many memories and is just hasn't aged at all. Thank you.
Listening to this masterpiece driving somewhere lost in to the winding roads of Greece...epic feeling!!!
This reminds me so much memories...driving in Greece...love this soooo much...
Sasha always bring me back great memories. I've met him in Miami in 2004 !! Still listening his music almost 20 years later !!
So many memories to his music. The man is simply a modern-day maestro. The first sasha set I heard was in 1998, GU 009 San Francisco. There was a pretty young lady I liked at the time, and she loved this type of music. So I put it on for her at a house party. We hung out and vibed to the music, but there was no chemistry, and the only thing we really had in common was this genre of music, which was mostly new to me at the time. Nevertheless, the pursuit of a young lady led me to 25 years of joy in sasha's music. I may have lost a connection with the young lady, but I gained a quarter-century of aural bliss.
This is intelligence and experience combined to develop an awakening for the audience. A true BREAK THROUGH. Always a pleasure to hear.
Who listening to this in 2023.
Sasha’s mixes are timeless.
2024!
2024
Right here. 2024.
@@paulcurrans622I'm not sure your comment is appropriate. But glad that you like Sasha.
it can't get any better than this. Smile - in my opinion top top track.
I still remember the first time I played this cd, on the drive home from the record shop. As soon as the Petter tune come on I was in love. Still sounds just as good 20years later
Big love Sasha ❤
Sasha is a Pioneer. Not only was he one of the first to use ableton for mixing, but also for live performances on stage.
This mix is absolutely incredible. Every song is so unique beneath the beat and I love every single one of them. Thank you Sasha for mixing this together.
One of the best mixes today, coronavirus approved!!!
Involver 1 = coming up
Involver 2 = peaking
Involver 3 = Spunday
Yeah, that album is still getting me high.
Just recalling those brilliant days, Spain and all.
What a music that was..
Sasha just went through the roof
Just bought myself a full JBL studio monitor setup with matching sub and this is the first album I played to test it. Simply perfect!
+Joe Temczuk Beautiful. I can only imagine the joy you must have felt! Years ago when i began to entertain the idea of DJing, setting up my gear and playing this album for a few friends sealed the deal. Seeing him live in a couple of days. So very happy!
Straight Classic. Never gets old.
The best electronic music album ever.
His mix of Unkle’s, “ What you are to me,” is God like!
one of the most flawlessly executed and cohesive mixes ever!
Paul Larsen yeh mate totally plus the content!!! absolutely amazing
simon davis too fucking good!
Thanks again to Charlie May.
One of the BEST albums EVER! Should be included in the Electronic music Patrimony of our world. Gorgeous, excellent, very fine, powerful, authentic, hymn of LOVE.
This is one of the greatest albums of all time.
14 years and i still love this album! perfect!
The best ever .... since now ....
Timeless!!!
Almost 20 years and this masterpiece continues to amaze
That Petter / UNKLE mashup-and that sneaky mix out of it-is just jaw-dropping
i love this album , i remember the time in my life when I had it on repeat . I lived up in the Sierra nevada mountains and would jam this every-time i got in my car . the lush visual stimulation mixed with listening to this was powerful . one of my all time favorite mixes purely because of the track selection ! Thank You Sasha
I love this type of comment. The type of deeper awareness that I feel other electronic music fans also possess.
I thank Sasha for this album from the bottom of my heart!! uncle's "what you are" is so fucking epic!! you wouldn't know just how much this album has saved me in the past 😢🙌👍😀😀😀
I really needed to listen to this tonight
Настоящая консерва времени , и не испортилась, что значит качество .👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👽👽👽👽
I think this was Sasha's first all digital album. He's a techie dj always up with the newest dj tech and trends. One of the best a true GOAT. The stuff Sasha and Digweed put out is unreasonably stupid good. Highest level DJing. Almost too good. Almost fine tuned. Now I'm suspicious. Is Sasha really this good? Nobody's this good. I call bullshit. This stinks of Devine Intervention of some kind. He DJ'S like Ramanujan did math.
I listwn to this album every autumn, especially in November. I like to ride my bike in the darkness and listen to it. I find this album quite deep and fitting to autums vibes. Especially I adore lostep. Thank you Sasha! ❤️
that's simply the best track on this, as you know they're all great though!
You introducing me to this album changed me musically
Possibly the best electronic album of all time. Heard this album in 2004 when I was 14 years old. Changed everything for me.
Unfortunately Involver 2 & 3 don't even come close.
Put on your headphones and fly!
A set full of emotions and love. It flows like a stream and turns into a waterfall. I cry when I listen to it. The best you've created. Thanks. I love you.
I used to own this album. Fantastic album. I wish I could find it on Spotify
I can't believe it's not on there. I have it somewhere in my CD book still luckily. That's why I still keep all my CD's, seems like Spotify doesn't have everything.
Shasha made the best soundtrack ever...
I bought this album when I was 19 and played this nonstop, this entire album has a special place in my heart, incredible memories
same bro, had my portable discman, fell in love with myself for appreciating this, for being on earth this moment while this music exist, loving life while this gem unfolds in my ears.
After all these years this compilation is still one of the most consistent I've ever heard. It's almost hard to tell when one song ends and another starts. And this "mash-up" of "These days" and "What are you to me?" is simply brilliant. And then there is Burma...
Thank you, Sasha)
There's an interview I watched/read long ago where he went through all the thought process and editing he had to do
16 years later I still can’t get enough of this. Supreme!
June 14 is the 20" year anniversary of this soul touching masterpiece
I’M NOT SURE HOW TO RESPOND TO THIS. 😜 I’M OLD.
@@over-educated-sp Time is your ally not your enemy :)
@@Tsourfetis I’M PROUD OF MY SILVER BEARD, AND PEPPERED HAIR. 52, AND JUST GLAD TO HAVE KILLED MY EGO, AND BECOME A LITTLE MORE WISE. Great comment!
Reading all the comments about doing coke to this song is outside of my realm. I don't need coke to get amped when I listen to this. DJ Sasha will and has always been the best!
Triskanivious alcohol and weed is enough 😎😎😎
@@jasongenova3626 The music is enough. Imagination knows no boundaries ;)
okay but cocaine is awesome.
I remember when I bought the CD in 2004 it was amazing, it's 2018 and it's still amazing.
My best album of all time..
i agree 100%
Would listen to this in 2011 every time I took the night train from Glasgow to London. Saw Sasha at the arches…
Thanks for linking the tracks so that you can go directly to a specific song. Not many do that on youtube and it is a great help.
Josh Johnson Yesss!!!
The best mix ever, hands down. If you think otherwise you really don't know what the hell you talking about.
I applaud your musical arrogance
HDC ignorance*
Zane Beadles
Get over yourself, it was clearly just a bit of musical banter. Feel free to share something better though, i'm all ears...
HDC Certainly not better than Involver, but also thoroughly impressive imho: Four Tet's Fabriclive (techno, UK garage), the DJ-Kicks editions mixed by John Talabot (downtempo house) and Motor City Drum Ensemble (soul, house), and The Grandfather Paradox by Âme, Dixon and Henrik Schwarz (differnt kinds of minimal music).
Nathan Kilcourse True, but Joris Voorn's Balance is up there too
Smile - Youngsters. Ultra dope in 2017 & whenever else.
2023 and Beyond! This album is a masterpiece and was so well produced, it has and will continue to stand the test of time, Involver 2 is also well produced
involver was the first electronic music i ever heard. still listening in 2018. still love it..

it was also right when me and my brother first started doing alot of psychedelics.

One of sasha's best imo....superb.
13 yers later and I’m still listening to this. My favourite compilation by Sasha ever.
