Saw a Sasquatch when I was a child growing up in Western North carolina. There was a certain section of the land surrounding my grandmother's house that we were forbidden to go on. One day when left unsupervised, my cousin and I decided it was time to explore. We ended up having a confrontation with a sasquatch, a large alpha male. Probably about 8 ft tall, because at the time I remember thinking it was twice as big as I was, at least. It just stood there, feet planted apart, hands down at his side, and roared like an African lion / elephant / dinosaur. A sound that you can feel just as much as you could hear it. I cannot possibly convey the tremendous noise, volume, and impact that this vocalization had. I'm surprised it didn't blow us backwards, if that gives you an idea. It was enough to knock you off your feet. Indescribable volume. Just indescribable. We jumped on our little motorbike, me being on the back, and as we rode away, my most vivid memory of this whole event was of having my cousin's shirt balled up in my fists with my head buried in his back. I was terrified beyond words, as you could feel the tremendous thunderous thuds of his footfalls on the ground, through the wheels of the bike as we rode away, as it ran after us. I remember just waiting to get yanked off the back of that bike. But I wasn't. Obviously it could have caught us without any issue whatsoever, but instead it chose to just "escort" us out of the area, back into the woods. Looking back as an adult, there are many different signs that I think my grandparents knew these things were around. It's a whole lot to explain but I think that's why we were forbidden to go to that part of the property. This thing looked more human in the face rather thanike any kind of ape. This was no animal. The craziest part was that I completely blocked out this memory and had no idea that this had even happened until I was almost 40 years old, and just happened to watch a Bigfoot video on youtube, and it all came back instantaneously. Immediately I got on Facebook and found my long-lost cousin and asked if this had really happened. Yes, it had. He confirmed every detail. Even though I had had this occurrence, I grew up thinking that Bigfoot was the biggest joke. I absolutely believed it was just a legend, or myth. Until it was a reality. These things are out there people. I'm not crazy, I'm not high, and I absolutely did not believe in Bigfoot until there was one standing irrefutably in front of me. I'm a sane, logical, educated and truthful person, who saw an 8 ft tall humanesque hominid, covered with hair, back around about 1985, in rural Enka-Candler, NC.
As unbelievable, and silly, and ridiculous as it sounds, these things are real. I don't know what they are exactly, but they ARE out there. Whenever people tell me these things don't exist, I just think, "Well I have seen one, and you haven't, so who is better equipped to judge whether these things are real or not?" I actually feel sorry for the people who are walking around oblivious to certain aspects of this world. Just walking around in complete and utter ignorance. It's said that ignorance is bliss, but I think I'd rather know what's out there. I'm glad that this happened to me, and that I'm not walking around in the dark. As much as I would like to have it proven just so I can say "I told you so" toball the people who have laughed at me and ridiculed me and told me I saw a bear, I actually don't want these things to be officially documented. Humans destroy everything they touch, and if the greater population knew about these things it would be to their detriment. What I saw, although terrifying in the moment, was regal and stunning, and beautiful, but above all, peaceful. He could have hurt us so easily, but did not. He just wanted us gone. He was aiming to scare us away in the same manner that we try to scare bears away. By being loud and intimidating, which he certainly was, but he was harmless. At least this one was. And you can't blame them for wanting nothing to do with humans. I don't want anything to do with most humans. I want these things to be left alone so they can do what they do and live their lives without human intervention. I hope everything's remain a "myth" forever.

Wow Kate, thank you so much for sharing that.. Thats one of those events that changes your life forever. Thats an awful big 'Red Pill' to swallow. I agree with you, I really - REALLY, want to know. But it makes me sad to see some of the "Entertaiment Tonight" style 'Squatch' hunters, making a cartoon out of stomping through the woods banging on trees.. They're just casting shade on the rest of us. I've seen a couple vids on here of hunters who claim to have had one on their scope, 'In the Crosshairs'.. And it would know and turn to look directly into the scope from 100yrds away.
And 'to a man', "hard as nails", experienced hunters said a feeling washed over them and they just couldn't pull the trigger..
I know I damn sure wouldn't want to be 'That' guy, remembered 'For All Time' as being the Goober who dropped one from across the meadow, Just Because He Could!.. Nah, one day a logging truck will hit one, and thats fate..
But I would cry tears of Rage to hear about some hunter strapping one to the hood of his pick-up.. I'd want to go strap him to mine..
Whew, got my blood up a bit there....chuckle..
I also wanted to reach out Kate to see if you would allow me to read your story on my channel.. This is one that needs to told and I would be honored if you would allow me to put 'Your' voice to it..
In the mean time, you certainly have an open invitation to come back anytime..
Welcome Aboard Kate from Coos Bay Oregon.....Bill

I retired to the foothills of the Cascades in SW Washington state. I've been here over 20 years now. Having become friends with a large family that's lived here @ least 6 generations: they have believable stories. They admit that they don't share with outsiders, as they don't enjoy being ridiculed.

Hey man i live in portland area and i saw something undeniable on a forest road near breitenbush. Went 0-60 in instantaneous time. Literally so fast that it couldve outrun any car. The acceleration was instant and a huge branch was left bouncing. Sticks breaking and crap flying on its wake. I slammed in reverse and drove so fast. I have NO doubts everything that happened at this tower is 100% real. Youre an awesome storyteller.

In 1976 my neighbor and I were turkey hunting and a big foot walked up on us. He was about 10 feet tall. He was about 50 feet away when we first saw him. He was talking about 6 feet each step. When I turned to run he was about 30 feet away. He was so close I could see the wrinkles on his face and hands. He didn't show any aggression but I ran as fast as I could

@@thebosunslockerwithmayorbill I've had many encounters with them after the first one. Twice may have been a dogman. The first wasn't bad. About a year or two later something tried to attack me about 5 in the morning. I was turkey hunting. I shot it in the head about 15 feet away. It cut a flip and landed on its feet and ran away from me. That was the last time I went turkey hunting. I hunted for many years after that but never had that experience but I never went back to that place. I've been walking through the woods hunting and noticed not a sound, nothing. Not even a leaf wiggling

I have a Captain Crunch story back around 1978 or 79 and was the legal age to drink ha ha ,Still can hang the same and have that drive , Weird ? Miss that spirit in that region , Family went back in Northern Calif to that area plus even some in Washington , Wild times , Those creatures do exist , Not a doubt as seeing two and possibly another validated for me , There’s something weird in recent years with the traits if these Sasquatch around the United States , Spread out more to a lil bit of paranormal stuff associated with them , I guess being in the tower you would see and know without a doubt what’s legit , Hey I’ve got to watch my language here texting but not the podcaster ? What the fck is that about ? You inspire some great memories to be recalled as well as reminding people how to have the best of times , Some of those big hairy men get bigger than you need to know too 😂! I am serious , That cave Eddie checked out was probably one of many escapes or if there’s a time when what the beast really liked to chow down on was plentiful it could be close and gorge out ! They have been seen digging there to many places and even around Vancouver Island and in Alaska or just anywheres they feel comfortable at . You probably had tracks up there I would think ? I ran around so much of that country too , The golf balls? I have boxes full of thousands and the compression is on point ! Titleist to the other best ! Tower guys played Faultless ! Take Care Kevin .

The big ones get to be 10 or even 12 ft. - I met an adolescent female with her family when I was in Point Arena a few years ago- I tossed them down handfuls of Jolly Rodger hard candies, the kind that come individually wrapped ... in the morning I found the wrappers folded into little booties and distributed up and down my windshield wiper blades ... very funny and sweet. They're smarter and stronger than us, but gentle if you're good to them. They can create infrasound with their huge vocal cords, like tigers and elephants do - it can cause you to hallucinate, or they can use it to either scare you or help you to NOT be scared.
I fell in love with this little family I met! The dad watched over me at first to be sure it was OK for his daughter to meet me because she had asked and he wanted to make her happy as long as it was safe- I swear it was just like my own dad watched over me making sure no wrong would be done, just a nice little get- together. Amazingly, they are also telepathic, so that's how we communicated. Such a great memory!
A life-changing event for me, for sure!!!

I just happened to come across your video, and it brought up some great memories. My oldest brother was in the Coast guard for 14 years and because of that I have been all over the US. He was 10 years older than me and was like a second father, he got married after CG boot camp and every summer i stayed with him and my sister in-law. I loved it, at such a young age being a in New York, key West, san Fransisco, Michigan, all over. After he left the CG he became an over the road truck driver, he loved it, but ended up being killed in an accident over 20 years ago after visiting his son to see his first grandchild. I love my brother and miss him dearly.

Saw one in Death Valley about 10 years ago at the Keene wonder mine. He came out of the hill and went to the spring where I had just been. He was at least 9 feet tall, dusty brown. I tried to get a pic. I was on the hood of my car in the parking lot. Nothing was in the view finder. So I just watched, he walked back into the hill where he came out of and I mean walked INTO the hill. very supernatural. Turned out I had gotten pics of his footprints. 16 inches long 8 inches wide. Told rangers about it. Mine was closed for years after that.

Nice video. A good credible set of events presented here and not an obviously phony Blob Squatch video like so many on UA-cam. I had a Class B event in 1973 in Western Pennsylvania. I saw 4” thick pine trees on a mountain side being mowed down by neither a herd of deer or bears. I was close enough to smell it. Nothing in that area was capable of doing what I saw. It was an area with a history of credible Class A sightings. This was not as spectacular as other reported encounters but it changed my life from that point on. My health did not allow me to tromp the forests like so many brave researchers have, but rather to read and analyze disparate evidence for over 40 years. I now live in South Florida where just in the last 3 years I have met at least 6 or more people who claim to have seen “The Skunk Ape” as it is called here, but is simply another member of the North American Sasquatch family. Apologies for a bit of digression here, but I want to give a big shoutout to the Mayor for his sharing all this with us.

New sub here. What a great storyteller you are! You paint a story like an artist paints a canvas - layer by layer to add dimension that draws you deeper into the encounter. The artist finishes some areas of the painting with precise details, and leaves other areas vague with a foggy haze to intrigue one's imagination. Well done, Mayor Bill!

Yeah, this entire region from N. Cali. to the Olympic Peninsula is one giant Red Zone for sightings & stories. Particularly on the Southern Oregon Coast. Up until, oh, 20 yrs ago or so, almost the entire economy was still forestry driven. You were either cut'n trees - haul'in trees - make'n lumber from tree's - building houses out of lumber made from tree's...chuckle...etc..etc..
I'd contact several of the Big tree felling companies, the guys that are up on the Mt. every day.. Buy them lunch sometime.. There's a lot of material there.. Forestry workers/Park Rangers, they know stories they are under orders NOT to tell, but there's buckets of material there.. 'And' the Rogue River Valley area down by the border. You get deep back in that valley and its all pot farmers, they live during the entire season up on the Mt. sides.
As long as you're not law enforcement you could probably get back in there in one piece.. You make friends with those guys and there a couple books...chuckle..
Anyway, I'm starting to get up on my soap box here.....
Thanks again Danny for the note. You certainly have an invitation back anytime.

South Coos river to Daniel’s creek, Daniel’s creek Rd and stay right, continue up past the old fish hatchery and on to the top of the mountain above moon creek. My son found tracks while mushroom picking but had nothing to make a casting so he put his pocket knife in the track. The knife measured 3.25 inches so I figured it to be 18.6 inches long. True story. Great area to check out brother.👍🏼👍🏼

I’ve lived in SW Oregon for 53 years and they love the redwoods. I’ve seen them a few times. It’s not for the faint of heart. When the fires started getting really bad around here they have been far and few of the big guys. It’s almost like someone has been trying to burn them out. Any time there’s too many reports of sightings there seems to be a fire. Look at Texas etc. Makes you stop and think. I wish people would start leaving where they had their experience out.

Just got home from Coos Bay, got to watch helicopter rescue swim drills. Went up to the tower for the view. We take our dual sports and the road was extra shitty and slick as snot. Also hiked down through the cave. No big foot along the way.
It’s still a pretty tight knit community but the crime from the homeless camped up there is out of control and the beach below is now day use only! Sad! Grew up camping there.

I still like to run up there especially on an ebb tide and watch the surf. The road is wider now but not a whole lot better, the top is still a mess.. SOME things never change..lol.. I was at the boat station in Charleston from '77' through '81', I don't remember Ricky, of course my memory isn't what it used to be, we may have just missed each other. Great story. My husband was born and raised in Bandon when there still was a hospital there(1964). I was raised in Eugene. I’ve been a believer in Bigfoot since the Patterson-Gimlin film came out. You should write in to Wes Germer of Sasquatch Chronicles and tell your story. He’s a great guy; I met him a year ago. Back in about 1968 or'69 I was a Sea Scout. One summer we did a camping trip to Merrill Lake, near Mount St Helens. One night a bunch of us boys decided to go for a walk, and headed up a logging road that went through a large clear cut (logged off area). It was about 11PM or so, no moon, black as the Earl of Hell's waistcoat. We were a nerdly bunch, and as we walked we started talking about books we had read. I mentioned that I'd just read one called "Interrupted Journey", and the guys asked what it was about: people abducted by a UFO. We talked about it for a few minutes, then kind of fell silent and noticed that at night the tree stumps looked like grave markers or something. Then an owl hooted ... we took off like were shot out of a cannon, and very nearly ran down our Skipper (Sea Scout scoutmaster) who was dozing by the campfire. Never did tell him what happened, but I think he figured it out. I mean, we were all in the sack with the covers over our heads before he had a chance to say a word. Adrenaline is a wonderful thing!

..."The Earl of Hell's Waistcoat?!".....Oh, I am gonna have to Steal 'THAT'...chuckle.. Thats just too damn good to let slip by. I can't wait for the opportunity to slide that one into a conversation.....
Yep, that's a great story Randal, it has all the elements of "THE" camping trip that stays with you forever.
Mine, surprisingly enough involves the Coast Guard.
Our camping trips were usually to the coast deep sea fishing out of Coos Bay. It was mid '60's', my dad and I with uncle Bob and cousin Ronny were a couple miles offshore, getting bounced around pretty good that day. We're trolling along and the engine just coughs & quits...Dead in the Water... Its still morning so there's a light fog and we can't see land.
So, Dad radios the Coasties, no big deal. But even if you're 'On Fire', its gonna take a few minutes.. You're not calling Uber.. Dad's telling me, ' you can always count on the CG son, they'll go through 'Hell -n- High Water' to come get you'........'I just hope they get here in time'... If the whales come up and find us now, we're in trouble!. We're stealing their fish and they're pissed. As long as the engine's running, the whales know we can get away and they don't bother us, But Now........ Ohhhhh, I just hope the Coast Guard gets here in time!!......
So, for the next 30 minutes, Dad & uncle Bob are having a good chuckle while Ronny and I were on hyper whale watch, until that Big Beautiful Coast Guard Boat came cruising out of the fog to save us..
That made such an impression on me that 12 years later I "BUSTED MY ASS" through bootcamp. Because the "Top Man" at graduation gets to pick Anywhere in the World he wants to go with the Coast Guard..
When called up at the graduation ceremony I told them, "Shit thats easy, send me to Coos Bay"...
Thank you Randal for helping to drag that little memory out of storage..
And thank you for the kind words, they're always appreciated.
Welcome Aboard from Coos Bay Oregon

Thanks for the note Yeti, I appreciate it. Wow, Idaho is a beautiful place.. My wife and I were on a random motor home trip years ago. Just meandering around, burning up gas with no specific destination and wound up in the upper panhandle at an RV park named "Wagonhammer"... It was the end of the season and we had the whole place to ourselves. Parked 'right' on a little river, 7am I'm sitting outside sip'n coffee. And a half dozen deer just saunter around the front of the couch, walk right past me and cross the river. Then at sundown, here they come, cross back over at the same spot and walk by me again not 20' away..
We were just going to stay for 2 days.. They had to throw us out after 10, (chuckle) it was the end of the season and they wanted to lock the place up.. Hell, we would have stayed there for another month.
That was one of the most beautiful spots we had ever seen.....

Passed up the 44's at Grand Haven, Michigan when a married CG (NAM tour) buddy in Engineman School asked to trade his duty for mine. He had gotten the Mackinaw icebreaker out of Cheboygan, MI. I traded and years later I saw him and he said he regretted the day he went to small boats. His duty sucked as he stated to me. He had 1 on 2 off. We had 1 on 3 off in port. I made so many friends in the guard.
Loved your vid and keep going with them. I have been horseback riding above Bonners Ferry, ID and my brother and I have had the hair standing up on our arms riding around in the woods there. I've always been so interested in that entire area. I have found and searched for info regarding Coos head and discovered that before that encounter happened it was submarine station and the look out that cave has areas that have been concreted off maybe because of the danger idk but that cave was once large enough for a sub to park in I was told. Have friends that have explored other caves and tunnels that all run through there. I've seen pictures of a cave opening that is just as your driving into basendorf beach but has long disappeared I've search the area and again was told it had been concreted off but by the time I began searching for any sign of it the cliff edge there was overgrown and covered in moss. There is a cave out there that I have explored and it's close by where the waterline was originally before they put the jetty in so its pretty cool because it's not by the water anymore and it's big with tiny opening so I can only image the size the one under the watch tower is. Or was? Loved the story made me miss home.. I'm a firm believer so it's quite neat to think Bigfoot along with other strange things all share that area. Now.my interest in researching the history of everything there was been revived. Thank you

Thank you so much for the note Robin.. Yeah, back in the 70's there weren't any facilities or nice roads along the south jetty and Bassendorff Beach. It was just a gravel access path like the tower road was. And I remember distinctly about 1/2 mile south of the jetty along the access trail, a 10' diameter concrete culvert pipe buried into the hillside, underneath where the Navy Base was.. It was all mossy and overgrown looking with some rusty bars and a gate. And a couple rusty signs, "DO NOT ENTER - GOVERNMENT FACILITY - TRESSPASSERS WILL BE SHOT - SURVIVERS WILL BE SHOT AGAIN!", bla bla bla.. So of course I squeezed through a gap in the bars and walked about 100' up the tunnel. But it was pitch black and I didn't want to get shot - and then shot again (chuckle).. So I got the hell out, but it was there.. Whether it was true or not, at the time it was common knowledge that the Navy Base was a listening Station. And they were connected to miles of listening cables that ran offshore, tracking submarine movements, we were after all still in a "Cold War", and still are I guess but thats above my pay grade..
Anyway thanks again Robin for listening and the note. I do have another one of these posted over on my channel and 2 more in the works that will post in a couple weeks.

Semper Paratus Mayor Bill! I was in the Coast Guard in the late sixties stationed on Government Island Alameda, California. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to stay in the Coast Guard due to an injury. I learned a lot while I was there and the only regret I have is not being able to do my entire enlistment. Great organization. The closest I got to the merchant Marines was spending time in US PHS hospital in San Francisco after I was injured. Portland doesn't count being a 3 hr trip up the Columbia from Astoria. So there's allot of West Coast freighter and container traffic that routes through Coos. Coos Bay is a pretty tough place, the entire 13th District from Northern Cali to Alaska has a well earned reputation.. What time frame was that Rob? I was there from 76 - 81 and ran the 44' & 52' footers. Hell, I'm still in pretty good shape, I'd go back tomorrow if they'd have me.. chuckle..
Keep checking back, I'm over due to post a couple more stories on the channel... The Bosun's locker with Mayor Bill..

Just wondering…how did it change your life completely? Would you consider a type of spiritual awakening? Or more along the lines of realizing that there really IS so much out in the world, in the universe and we have no idea of how much we don’t know? I’m asking because I’m genuinely interested in events that have profound effects on people. Truly life changing events. Did you used to be extremely skeptical in a judge mental way and now you’re more open-minded.
I’m not trying to put you on the spot and certainly you don’t have to answer but I find life changing events fascinating. It helps me to keep an open mind and to think about many things on a deeper level.
Thank you for mentioning that you too saw a Sasquatch. I imagine it did indeed have a profound effect on your life! Wishing you all the best.

I’m hoping in another year and a half I will be moving to the Chehalis WA area where my son is. Over 2,000 miles from where I have lived most all of my life and raised my son. Thanks to the Air Force sending him to Tacoma, he loves it there. He has married and bought a home there. But I’m excited about moving. I can’t lie I love the area too. He took me to years ago to Cannon Beach. I loved Oregon also. He laughs at me for believing and wanting to see Bigfoot.

When I moved to Oregon, my aunt regaled me with stories of bigfoot & I admit I rolled my eyes at every one. On a road trip back from California, we took the coast route Hwy 1. There is a stretch of highway were it is as straight as a pencil & you can see traffic ahead for miles; there is thick chaparral on either side of the road. We were on this stretch, on a weekday so there was no other traffic in front of us, when I saw a monkey in the distance amble across the highway towards the beach on all fours. I couldn't tell exactly how big the creature was as it was hunched over & about a mile ahead but it seemed juvenile. People have told me it was a beaver but the gait was definitely that of a monkey, I'll swear to it. So I'm a believer now.
On a side note, my neohew is with the coast guard and soon to be stationed here. He actually wants to see a bigfoot & believes they exist. He's going to bring his motorcycle & hopes to tour the woods.

But without that 'jump scare', in your face type sighting, there's always that .06% that tickles the back of your brain..
We should design a motorcycle patch - The .06% club... Hell, put your son on that project if he's gonna ride...chuckle.

I'm glad you have a chance to finally get your experience validated by others who KNOW the intensity of fear that is hard to justify UNLESS they've felt it themselves, like me. that kind of fear won;t make sense to anyone who wasn't in your shoes. when you say, "i wish you could see me shaking right now", I am familiar with what it's like to retell the experience that changed me forever and whenever i tell it, people comment that they see my physical reactions to re-living the fear, and even the "non-believers" know I am experiencing a PTSD moment with them. Eyes and minds are opening and it's good to have understanding because being shamed and laughed at when you felt like you might have been facing the worst imaginable death is no fun. Omg!! there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about when I got stalked in the swamp right after dark trying to get back to my quarter boat where I was a galley hand on the intercoastal waterway of South Louisiana.
I had walked from the quarter Boat up to the little store about a mile up the road, and the trees were like a canopy covering the paved road I was walking on.
Guess it took me a little longer to get to the store than I thought as I thought there was more daylight left than there was.
The sun was going down quick, but thought I would make it back to the quarter Boat before it was pitch black and boy was I wrong!
About halfway back almost identical to your story, except with swamp on both sides of the road very shallow water. I heard splashing footsteps that were not a four-legged animal or a rodent of any kind, it was walking upright I could tell by the sound of the splashes, which were almost in perfect unison with my steps , and like you when I stopped, I would hear that last step or two out to my right about 100 feet or so and I began to panic inside my body and my brain.
Begin walking again with about a quarter mile left I could barely see the streetlight at the end of the road. The steps resumed in unison with mine.
Only differences the steps are getting closer as if on an intercept line with me and I would stop again and hear that last step or two this time about 50 feet away!
I began to speed up to a brisk walk and the steps were not quite in unison, but definitely picking up. It’s Pace and definitely getting closer with every step.
About 150 yards now from the end of the canopy with another hundred or two to the streetlight where the quarter boat was tied up, I broke out into a full sprint, holding my bag with a six pack of Budweiser and two packs of cigarettes tightly under my arm!!!
Upon reaching the streetlight, I stopped and turned around, expecting to see something emerge from the canopy, but never saw a thing!
I also thought if I shared that story, the guys on the quarter Boat would think I was crazy and I would be ridiculed for it.
I walked into the quarter Boat and the steward looked at me and said wow, looks like you seen a ghost!!!!
I must’ve been white as a sheet and obviously shaking uncontrollably, especially my legs.
I never shared that story with anyone until I was in my 40s and I was working offshore with some Cajun guys from that area and somebody told a little story about things in the swamp and I shared my story with three or four of the guys and nobody spoke and they just stared at me and one of the guys said “do you know what it was”“that was a Ruga Roo“
Apparently stories had been passed down from generation to generation with the French Cajuns down in the swamps of these things that lived there for years and years.
When I asked him, why was it following me as if to be stalking me and his reply was “it was only trying to scare you off“😬
I share the story from time to time now and usually get a blank stare from people who’ve never experienced anything like that, but for me, it was so terrifying not knowing who or what it was stalking me or why. There’s no way it could’ve been human because it was so dark , a human wouldn’t be able to navigate through the underbrush growing in the swamp when you can’t even see your hand in front of your face.
I thought about using my cigarette lighter because that’s the only light I had, but by the time I would see something it would already be closer than I wanted it to be!
Thank you for your story, it was nearly identical to my experience, not a sound, no frogs, no birds, no insects, just the splashing of walking feet angling toward me in the dark over a period of couple of hundred yards. Just thinking about it right now raises the hair on the back of my neck and arms! Thanks again!!

Great story Bill you should do books on tape with your voice! Was stationed in the cutter Storis back in ‘76-‘77 out of Kodiak and knew a Bill Bethel on deck force who was from Oregon wonder if he’s the same one. Unreal story thanks!

Yeah, thanks Jess, I appreciate it.. Could have been the same Bill, he was at the station in Coos when I signed on, in '77'.. Never really thought about whether he'd been anywhere prior.. Yeah, Bill definitely an Oregonian, about 5-11, 180, sandy blonde hair, hell of a nice guy, Liked his Beer!... (Laugh) Sounds like I'm describing a police line-up.... Which he might have been in once or twice........
And, Yep on the audio book.... I actually spoke with the folks at 'LibroVox' about a year ago, just look'in for stuff to do, my wife suggested it.. They have many 100,000's of audio books that are past their Royalty terms, so they're now available for 'free-use'.. And they're read by volunteers, originally for the sight impaired but they're available for anyone to download for free. I did an audition tape and was approved to read, but once you pick your book, your on a timetable. Those bastards want your chapters in a timely fashion.
Hell, I had visions of laying in my hammock with a beer and a joint, reading my favorite book to my dog....

Thank you Zoltan for the kind words, they're very much appreciated.
I was truly blessed to have had the opportunity to do things and travel as I have. I mean, in my 20's, meet bigfoot and end up on a merchant ship and sail around the world for 10 years, how the hell does that happen 'just' happen?...chuckle... I still just shake my head thinking back now. And at the "Last" period in history when you could actually go 'swashbuckling' as a young man relatively risk free from the political strife around the globe.
So I started to log a few of my little chapters as a dairy for the great-great-great grand kids. Just to let them know they need to step up their game, this is what 'gramps' was doing when he was their age.....chuckle.....

Family in their 20's now have heard a few of the stories, the ones who care to listen. They may, or may not, tell their kids, but even with the best of intentions, that's where they die......

He said those monkeys were screaming their heads off the entire time. He had to take a running leap onto a near by palm tree and shimmy down it in order to get off of the roof of this guys house.
