Nascar has no business on the streets of chicago...cars aren't made for that and isn't the backbone of the sport at all...not to mention nascar lost a ton of money last year ...maybe due to weather...we will see but at the end of the day... Nascar is t f1 and really isn't gaining fans or exposure doing it...to me it's gimmicky
@@brandonbain2549 Dunno, cars belong on streets seems like a place where Stock Cars should be running. I attended and the race it was a good time. Folks where there from all over the country and new fans from all around the Chicago area. NASCAR better do something to expand it's fan base that's for sure. I've been watching NASCAR for years but I would not ever attend a race anywhere in the south with the battle flags and all, just not my and many other peoples cup of bourbon. Prohibiting those kinds of displays and expanding into new markets I believe will only benefit the sport. Time will tell I suppose.
@mrman4055 the south is the roots of Nascar period...if people in Chicago area cared Chicagoland would have never died. A geographical location doesn't matter...people matter...anywhere you go you have racists...and if you haven't been to some southern tracks you are missing out...but indo agree nascar needs to expand just not paying millions of dollars to race on the streets of Chicago. They have bigger things to worry about in that city for sure
@@brandonbain2549 A tree no matter where it's roots are must branch out to thrive and grow. There is no bigger market in the middle of America than the Chicago area. Chicago is one of the best cities on earth. I've spent a fair amount of time in the south. It is not a comfortable place to be if you are anyone of the many groups reviled by southern politicians and their constituents, not just being black. And we all know the story of Willy T Ribbs and the reception he received at southern tracks.
