Please, all you young people don't take drugs of any kind. Stay safe.
I'm sorry for the parent's loss. I don't know what else to say in such case.
I'm glad that I discovered Douglas Murray. He is doing journalism that people originally dream of doing when studying journalism. He covers topics that people often don't want to hear, he speaks the truth even when people don't want to hear it.
All drugs are dangerous.
"It means nothing... I'd give everything to have her back."
Know that feeling.
There are no “safe” drugs.
Is it safe to assume that you are anti-vac?
The experimental gene therapy is considered a "drug"
I saw a black tar heroin documentary on HBO when I was a kid, never did any drugs. 🤷♂️. DONT DO DRUGS.
So sad! 😢 And thank you for meeting the parents and bringing this issue to light.
Thank you for reporting on this tragic issue, Douglas. We highly appreciate you.
These type of stories are so sad. It is important to understand that when dealing with illegal substances you run the risk of dealing with people who are involved in illegal activity. It sounds simple but most people as well as myself have not thought of that. People doing illegal things really cannot be trusted. There are too many people willing to do that illegal activity to make it safe. It is only getting worse as drug use is semi-legitimized in some western cultures. Political power pushes to make people happy no matter what and it usually ends badly.
If the risk of imprisonment is the same regardless of a person's actions, then their actions become less trustworthy and more immoral. We need drug reform to legalize the safer drugs and promote them, and strictly enforce the harder drugs.
How does Douglas only have so many subs - he should have millions
many of us are guitly for placing judgement were we should have not, while the noble tune of our forefathers rings in my ears
So sad for parents. I will never take any drugs. I barely can say no to cake, so drugs are out of question.
No judgement. Because many drugs are so incredibly addictive, please don’t try them EVEN ONCE. Choose life, not misery and death ❤
Yes judgement, don’t try illegal, heavily addictive drugs, it is not that hard.
The pain that is left is horrific 😢
Greetings from Dallas, Texas. My heart grieves for you. We named our 3rd daughter, "Julia". After my Dad's mother. She is bringing a 4th grandchild to us all. After 3 grandsons, a granddaughter!!! ETA in mid-July. Life goes on. It's a miracle. Love you, Douglas. Can't hep it!!!
My Daughter was 34 when she died...
Since then I have become a Addictions Counselor in the Chicago Suburbs...

Heartbreaking. People please stay away from this evil. Please take care everyone.
What a nightmare....
she was ordering coke for delivery? Denial. Not a OD? They enabled her. She was very pretty young woman but she made the choice to use drugs.
q
Are you stupid? well the answer to that is yes. Millions of people around the world do cocaine, lacing cocaine with a deadly drug is murder not OD, I know with two brain cells and a judgmental mind it is difficult to think logically but trust me on this one, it is not OD.
Maybe they didn't get the same warning that most others got?
@@antlures845 Maybe so but if they are going to tell "her story", then they should tell the truth. But, instead lets blame the dealer.
The parents are right it is poisoning murder. They do not have to cut those drugs with that poison never used to be a problem decades ago cutting mostly with talc and such .✌️❤️🙏✝️
People buying drugs on the street is not smart. Greenwich is a wealthy community, and Julia was probably well educated and raised among intelligent people and in a safe place.
Apparently she was not that well educated after all !!
Heartbreaking ♥️
So sad and needless.
Sad? Yes!
Needless? I am not sure... How would others know to stay away from drugs if not for a tragedy every now and then?
@@zeeve284 people who fail to stay away from drugs have have never been put off by the common knowledge of drug deaths and the power of addiction . Others who quit before the drug takes other do so bot because they here about a death but because what ever drove them to experience /experiment was less severe than those trying to block out painful trauma memories or intense impulsivity so devastating deaths like this should serve as a effective warning but sadly they do not for the troubled soles of this world whose inner pain or intense impulsivity in addiction is just to much .
This is heartbreaking to hear. There is ZERO chance to stop the flow of drugs as long as there is a demand for them. So the only solution, however crazy it may seem, is these drug dealers have either got to start testing their product for fentanyl or get life sentences and/or the death penalty for selling product that will kill their customers. The parents are right, this was not an overdose, it’s at the very least manslaughter.
When I was about 15, our school show the film Christina F, about drug addict, never die drugs, such a waste of time, ❤
💔
I'm sorry you mean the drug dealer that sold your daughter cocaine wasn't a good guy
You should have just stuck with your original comment.
Everyone ends up where their choices take them. Never question If evil exists. It's obvious.
If you want to pile on go ahead but we do need some compassion. Having said that... Stay away from any drugs and this won't happen.
2024… when cocaine is a gateway drug.
Because you’re exactly right these people don’t get that they don’t get what it’s like to live under subrogation or oppression
You want to sell drugs then you should get life behind bars with hard labour.
You want to take drugs, really?
I have a friend who is a reformed narc and alcoholic, it very nearly cost him his life and now he's learning what life is really all about, he's helping others.
I'm stuck on fent!
Be safe!!
Perhaps it might help if you know that we all care about you and all those who are struggling with substances. Our care might give you the strength to overcome the challenges you face.
Very sad. The loss of Julia is a huge loss for those who knew and loved her.
I assume she used cocaine regularly, a shame that she felt the need to use illegal drugs that apparently are easily/readily available. I didn't know in NYC that you could just order cocaine deliveries-why is that? why aren't drug dealers in prison?
I'm so sorry for these parents & all parents of young people dying from illegal drug use.
I sincerely hope my grandchildren don't grow up and want to "try" an illegal drug, I pray for them daily.
It is very good that this one drug dealer has been punished, that doesn't bring Julia back but may save the life of another person.
Our Nation really needs to figure out a solution that works, instead of just keeping statistics on how many die from illegal drug use.
Alcohol is just as problematic as cocaine. Problem here is that the drugs were poisoned. Also that people get away with putting very dangerous chemicals in cocaine. Btw the opioid epidemic is the result of legal prescription drugs. Educate yourself please.
@controlledopposition4037 I know alcohol is a drug which slowly kills those who use it daily, also claims the lives of people who don't use it by drunks behind the wheel. However alcohol isn't usually mixed with other substances and sold illegally on the streets. And cocaine by itself damages heart and other organs. I'm also aware the opioid prescription drugs have created many drug addicts and that was corrected yet did nothing for the addicts the doctors who had over prescribed opioids had created.
But this young woman is dead because she purchased cocaine cut/laced with fentanyl. Which is why my comment only addressed that issue.
Another topic you might find interesting is that China still supplies most of our prescription drugs. Combining that fact along with knowing fentanyl used in illegal substances originated in China (even when mixed in Mexico) should be of concern to everyone who gives their child an antibiotic to people who take daily hypertension prescribed medication. Check into that, since you want to discuss other topics anyway. I think about that as I think it makes nearly all Americans vulnerable to taking a prescription drug that could contain fentanyl on a mass scale one day.
This is why I get all my drugs legally at the pharmacy by an educated pharmacist. No buying the drugs off the streets for me. My condolences to the parents for the tragic loss of their beloved daughter. 😢 😔 🙏 🙏
Do you actually get Cocaine in the pharmacy?
What pharmacy sells Cocaine?
This is the end product of prohibition.
Have more compassion, people. Yes , the safest thing is to stay away from everything but not that realistic. I really feel sorry when tragedies happen after taking a measured risk. Imagine if you went for a cocktail, a single glass of wine or sth (despite the fact alcohol is ALSO a drug) and you get poisoned by unexpected medication/drug added to it??
Your attitude is what makes using drugs acceptable.
Why would anyone hang out in places where someone would poison their drink, or with someone that would do such a thing?
If you are ok with taking measured risks then expect the consequences and don't talk about "tragedies" that happen. These are not tragedies, but rather consequences of stupidity!
@@zeeve284 Alcohol is a drug. I'm not encouraging anything, the reality is most people drink and if you were to go out with expectations what you'll consume, it not ok to be poisoned by unknown substance.
How do you feel about women's drinks being spiked? Shall we be compassionate or ban female drinking as a whole so that they are safe
@@zeeve284 And, no, people can be spiked in "normal" places, it sometimes happens and it's not as simple as avoiding dodgy places
If you accuse me of being a conservative for being classically liberal, I would say you are correct. What a world.
My sympathies to the families and yet I don't understand why people think it is ok to take drugs.
Drugs means trouble!

What does it have to do with the Jewish Community?
Enough with this "Tikkun Olam" BS already.
All pogroms and holocausts came upon us because we think we know better and are on this planet to repair the World.
Well, let me tell you a very well known secret... No one wants the Jews to teach them how to live their lives "correctly"!
Live your life the way you want and leave the rest of us alone.
And the same goes for Islamists and Missionaries.
Seriously get it out there. Explain it to somebody what subrogation is
AI just told me it's a legal process involving insurance companies..
@@antlures845 no it’s forcing people who have no heritage of salutation (debts) to another person pay for a third person’s debt who may have even harmed them. It’s forcing someone to pay a person who already disabled their present ability to pay.
If only it mattered to voters 😢
It does matter to some voters, just not the ones that put the current idiot in office.
It's not difficult to stay safe - DON'T TAKE DRUGS. However, it never ceases to amaze me that seemingly intelligent people are blind to the risks. While I see the pain of Julia's parents, it was Julia who made the decision to take a deadly risk.
No! It was her parents' upbringing that made Julia make that horrible decision!
Her greedy father and gold-digger mother are the reason!
They are not a family but a miserable showoff.
Presumptuous? I think it's YOU who are presumptuous! So kind of you to give it. Don't waste your time offering further advice - even if you can do so politely, as I won't be following it.@@ThisIsJimmySC2
I am so sorry for the loss of this bright young woman but she knew the risks she was taking when buying coke.
Apparently she didn't know the risks. Or chose to ignore them.
Stay clean and you won't have to essentially play Russian roulette.
Just say no. They'll probably start putting it in food next.
I'm too Type A for drugs so I'm not even going to pretend to understand addiction. I'm never going to understand why people willfully take illicit drugs. You're just asking for a death sentence at this point.
I'm sorry but I would imagine that this couple has supported every democratic agenda for thier entire lives
I HOPE ONE OF YOUR QUESTIONS IS GOING TO BE. DID YOU VOTE FOR JOE BIDEN? WILL YOU BE VOTING FOR TRUMP IN 24?😔😔😔💔
Haha! I'm in the homeless community. I'm just like you, Ghahramani. We think of money all the time too. Not for cocaine though.
All actions have consequences. Buck up take responsibility and stop whining.
