- FIREWOOD |Mike fells & bucks up large ash tree stub. In this firewood video, my log supplier/helper Mike fells large ash tree stub using my Stihl MS661 chainsaw. Then he bucks the log into 16" long firewood rounds using his Stihl MS 391 chainsaw. I help him by using Mike's Fiskars ISOCORE 8lb splitting maul and busting the rounds into manageable sized pieces so we can lift them into our truck beds.

“You never know if it’s sharp or not until you start using it” 😂
I come back to this channel every year or so just for golden excuses like that and you never fail to deliver. You can go back years on these videos and hear the same things: Chain’s dull, only brought one bar/chain, etc. Idk how you never manage to learn from your past mistakes/experiences, but it sure does make for some entertainment for the rest of us!
As entertaining as this circus is, I’m thankful that one of y’all hasn’t been hurt.
JPF = Joe’s Preparation Failures
Hello there Joe and Mike
Get a level Mike😮🔥
👋
Welcome to the JFV moderator team. See you later tonight for your “Thirsty Thursday”
One side sharper than the other hand file is the best never dull
I use Stihl 039 today
Joe did you sharpen that chain?
Great job but a stump vise would make your sharpening in the field a lot easier a spare sharp chain would make it even quicker
Should special ed even be running a saw
Sometimes I’ll cut a line down the face of the large logs with my chainsaw before I split them with the maul. I also like to use a nice pounding wedge when doing that. Makes it easier.
How not to fall a tree. The "notch" is a -5/10.
I just love this video - doing things wrong in every which way - but I can use it for my lessons for chainsaw license : well done !!! (PPE seams to overrated ...)
Yet we got the job done. PPE = His body his choice
Obviously doesn’t know how it should be done. Anyone with the knowledge wouldn’t let someone fuck it up this bad
What the hell kind of notch is that
He should have used his saw to cut it down
Try sharpening the chain
Bull Ox is an animal!--Game changer.
had to be the dullest chain ever - you must do that on purpose
W❤W! That’s Incredibly Awesome! Cheers!🥂❤️✨
Do you ever check your equipment before you leave?
I was in a hurry to get there on time.
What a joke. No PPE and you need to watch a video on how to split wood. My 90 year old dad would have had that split and in the truck in the time it took you to split that one piece.
I’ve watched a couple of your videos. You guys make superb comedies. You have to be very good professionals because in every video I saw so far you make something that might get you killed. Or you are just damn lucky. Ever tried lottery?
BTW that guy who uses the saw, Mike I guess, he has your company’s name on his shirt. Does he work for you? If yes then don’t you have any responsibility of his safety if you are his employer?
You saying his PPE is his business seems very awkward to me. But I guess it is the American way …
You seem to often reply ’he got the job done’. Well, yeah it is like you drive to a crossing and not looking anywhere and just go on saying ’nobody came yesterday’ …
Anyway thanks for the excellent negative lerning videos. What not to do.
Good thing your opinion means nothing to me.
Like the three stooges but there’s only 2 of you
Bloody embarrassing
Why for no comments?
It already looks terrible
This is a joke
This isn’t professional your chain should be sharp, you should have an extra. With you and files to fix it if you have to fix it if you have to.
His notch sucked!!
No he didn’t
You should be embarrassed
dude what are you guys doing.. is Mikey on meth again!? D:?
This is one of your big problems you never check any of your equipment before you start. Very unprofessional if you really want to make a video that maybe makes you look like you might know what you are doing at least have your shit ready to go before you even start your camera
