Wow 3 days ago i was going to buy a scalextric track for my little boys Christmas....well mine too....then i remembered when i was a little boy growing up in Germany there was a brand called Carrera, ive now bought a carrera set and was looking for apps and found this..and just wow!!! I wish other app developers put as much time, effort and pure passion into their products as you. Thank you sir for making such an amazing app.

Hey Marc. It's great to see a new update for Smartrace. Everything that you've done from the widget, templates and assignments are awesome. The ability to move, resize and change colors on the race screen is really cool. Smartrace just continues to be more advanced and user friendly. I also like the toggle to switch between controller colors and car colors. Thank you for everything that you've done to help make this hobby more enjoyable. 🙂
Hi, I'm using this application on an H0 scale analog AFX layout and it works well. In this latest version, the configuration of the main screen is much more complex, although much more beautiful. Assigning cars and drivers is now simpler. The inclusion of new manufacturers in the car database was very welcome (AFX, Tyco, Aurora, etc.), although there are still some missing such as Bauer, AW autoworld and AMRac as an example. In car brands I would also like to see Shelby! Great application, many congratulations and continued excellent work.
Thanks for the good work ... would really love to see a round Robin or lane rotation option .. I would be more then willing to pay for it on the app.. America needs this ! 😊
Thank you Jason! Round Robin will come to SmartRace for sure - I just cannot tell you when. But I already got a lot of valuable input from different people and am working on a concept for it. 🙂
Overall, happy with the changes. Like being able to customise the screens more. Had a wierd thing happen. When not on-line with the CU, I went to change a driver and lost my car database. Worked out fine because I wanted to start from scratch.
Hi Marc, you truly did an AMAZING job building this app for racing! All the new posibilities, graphic and UI quality are superb! I really like it a lot! I have one question which makes racing even more fun like in a real situation. We now have the virtual safety car, but my own safety stays in the pitlane. I have to deploy it manually by pressing the button on the Carrera controller . It would be great if the safety car is deployed at the same time. I dont know if that is possible and that Carrera shares the code/api to get the safety car deployed on the track? Would be my number 1 update! :-)

Why is it when I drive out of the pit stop smartrace will often continue to think I am in the pits? This get annoying when you try to use the weather and change tyres because you end up changeing tyres when you didn't want to . Does anyone have a fix for this or know why it happens sometimes?
Thanks for all your efforts providing a great app for slot car racing. Not sure if this update has a new set of compatibility requirements but I did notice the app having trouble working on my iPad Air that I typically use. Thankfully I creat backups periodically to view stats when I’m away from my track so I didn’t loose anything but curious if you have had feedback on comparability issues. The app appears to open and then just disappears. If I double click the home button I see that the app has been opened but I when selected it again flashes as if to open and then disappears. I appreciate your feedback.
Hi Daniel, I assume you're using iOS 12. There is currently an issue on this version of iOS which causes the app to crash. I already prepared a bugfix and hope it will be available later tonight. Sorry for the trouble.
Yes it’s version 12. Thank you for the prompt response and resolution. Looking forward to getting to know the new features better. On another note, is there a setting to call out each lap time? This is helpful for testing and tuning and helps focus on the drive for consistent laps. The new feature of increasing the size of the widgets may be my favorite. Previously when using weather and changing to wet tires cars speed would be set to maximum after changing to wets and they would be undriveable. Has this been fixed or is it a setting that im missing? Right now we dont race with weather on because of this. We would really like to enjoy the weather feature.

Contact Marc for help on your Weather settings. This is not how it works for me so I think you need to make some adjustments.
Thank you for a great program. With this latest version I sometimes get a hidden fuel gauge. Is there a way to disable this feature?

When you do a 50 lap race can you look back at all the lap times you did?
Yes, by saving the race to the history. You can also have it auto-saved (configurable).

Unfortunately there is no news yet from Apple. They're investigating possibilities to make it work, but it seems to be a bit slow-paced there. :-(

My macbook pro only finds version 5.7.4 . Is it not available yet for MacBook Pro ?
I think 6.0 works only with M processor based Macs so if you have something older that might be the issue. Time to upgrade :)
