    Product Details:
    Leggari Hardwood Overlay kits are show stoppers every time! You’ll have all the materials you’ll need to complete an industrial-Grade Concrete Overlay Hardwood technique that will never wear off. It’s thin so it won’t complicate door thresholds or create tripping hazards. It will follow the contours of your concrete so there’s no need to make the floor perfect before installing. It can also go vertical. No more grout to clean! Imagine beautiful hardwood in your garage, or around a pool!
    Choose between 4mm (about 1/8″) tape, or for more accentuated lines, 6mm (about 1/4″) tape. The tape size you choose will determine the width of the gap between each wood plank you make; these can also be called ‘grout lines’, although they’re not filled with grout. The color and look of the grout lines between each wood plank will be the look of the concrete you’re going over. Each Hardwood Overlay Kit comes with enough tape to do 4″-12″ wide wood planks (or larger). The larger your planks the less tape you’ll use.
    These floors are incredibly durable and mimic traditional Hardwood floors. Leggari’s Hardwood Overlay System is cost-effective and easy to install. They are 100% UV stable and can be installed inside or out. Now you can put hardwood in your garage to park on, or even around your pool! Our Hardwood Overlay Kits go right over your existing interior or exterior concrete. They’re easy to install and easy to maintain.
    This kit includes Concrete Overlay, Liquid Polymer, Stain, Grout Line Tape, and a Top Coat. This kit does not allow for different colored grout lines in between the wood planks, the grout lines with be the color of your concrete

      No, there’s plenty of texture on that floor, that the sealer won’t diminish the traction qualities of the floor.

    I noticed that you filled the expansion gaps. Will this crack again in Northern climates? Can this be done on an aged concrete floor with a lot of exposed aggregate and/or cracks from settling. Garage floor is probably 50 years old.

    • @B_Bodziak
      @B_Bodziak 3 роки тому

      I put epoxy down on my 70 yr old basement concrete. If the cracks are thin, you may want to think about using a diamond blade to make them a bit wider (about the width of an expansion gap) so the epoxy has more surface in the crack to cling to. It should not affect the expansion gaps.

  • @larrywebster

    With the wood grain technique is it rough to walk on barefoot or does the floor grinder smooth it out then. I am looking at doing this on my covered patio for sure when I move, and I really like it in that garage setting too. I assume you added the grit into the top coat as well? Thx!

    I have been subscribed to your channel for well over a year now, I watched them all, And I have also been showing them to my friends and family!! I want to use your product to put flooring down in my living Room, which used to be a carport, attached to another room when you walked in, but I've torn down temporary walls and opened it up into a 20'x 20' great room. The only problem is that there is a crack all the way across the room where the two different concrete pours for each room do not exactly match up, with one being ever so slightly higher than the other. So, I have to fill in the crack and sand it down where it is at least semi level, until I get the exposure pouted, to help level it out. I will be using Earth tone colors with a oak colored base. Then some Gray and a lighter tan color and maybe just hints of black and maybe white? Because, I know that a poxy levels itself outhow do you suggest I fill in that crack and make it level without it being too difficult? I am 60 years old and disabled. I also have no help! I have been watching your channel long enough to know that you've got a crack filler that you can use, and sand it down. That should be enough, right? And, does that dry hard light concrete to make it difficult to sand? Also, how can I determine how much it would cost me in materials for that Room, Because I am on a fixed income, and I lose half of that income in 4 short years? I'm also going to use it on my bathroom and laundry room counter tops with the marbled look. The counter's or not that big Commerce so it should not cost me too much to cover those.

    If you're considering this as a DIY, don't, just don't. This is NOT a DIY if you're expecting great results. You should be experiences with concrete overlays to do this. I learned this the hard way. In short, note how none of the videos discuss basic "how-to" elements such as dry times. If they don't cover things such as dry time, what else are they failing to cover? And no, there are no instructions that come with the supplies they send. I learned a ton about concrete overlays while doing this to my garage, and if I could do it over again I would 100% not use overlay.

    Great looking product but, I'm going to be critical for a moment. The grout line that goes up the side of the step looks bad. I would never have installed a real tile like that. I think a grout line along the top of the riser and sides of the step would have been a better look. Leave the whole tread without grout lines. It would give the step more of a tradtional tile "built" look.
    Of course, this is just my opinion.
    Great product guys.
