Excellent series of videos. Full credit to you and your team for getting the trailer built in such a short amount of time. Looks great and very functional.
Thank you!! openTruck is an initiative that was started by Ross Video (similar concept to their openGear frame). It "involves partnerships with equipment manufacturers, system integrators, truck builders, mobile producers and freelance operators. openTruck designs support varying crew capacities, sometimes even supporting twice the number of positions normally found in a vehicle of a particular size. Smaller vehicles and enclosures provide better fuel efficiency, which leads to significantly lower costs to travel from event to event. openTruck is vehicle agnostic and can be built in varying sizes depending on your specific needs. Flight packs, Sprinter type vans, trailers, and forty foot boxes have all have been deployed enjoying all the various advantages of openTruck." You can check out more on their website: opentruck.tv :)
I just watched the entire series and recognized the area code for your location on your trailer. you are only about 2 hours south me me. I am our Mobile Unit engineer at WNEP in Scranton. Great video enjoyed how your unit came together. Well done... Maybe we will pass sometime on the road.
That's wild! I quite enjoy the Scranton area! I'll be sure to hit you up if we're up that way and need a freelance engineer or op! You should fill out the freelance form on the Mythology website to be added to the freelancer database 👍
@BroadcastBuddyTV yeah. I freelancer as a td and tape op for year in philly/baltimore/ny but that was quite some time. Once we went automated I got rusty fast. I saw you built up the Ross overdrive templates at wpmt. I did the same up here at wnep when I was a director.
Fantastic work on both the OB and on the video series! I looked up your company and you're not too far from me - had no idea! Would love to come take a tour and/or learn from you guys at some point! That would be so neat.
It's funny that you guys have the same language problem on what is the front and rear as we do. Our large trailer has a very similar seating arrangement where the main production is located at the rear of the trailer phasing backward but everyone keeps referring to it as the front. I try to use slightly different words when referring to trailer parts in production (front / vision / audio) and setup for movement (bow / stern) just to be consistent. Oh and congrats on going live and surviving the first gig.
www.mythologymps.com/pages/services/mobile-productions/prometheus-1 Here you go! Cost will varry on your sales acquisition methods and dealers. I usually go direct to Ross for gear and the other stuff through my dealer. Miscellaneous stuff through sites like Markertek, B&H, and Amazon.
Enjoyed the videos of the builds, lots of work completed in a short time frame! How do you link back to the channels showing the production? Have you got dedicated fibre links at the schools or is it an ad-hoc link for each job?
Truck looks really nice! Whitch Leader Waveformer do you use there with four SDI Inputs and this incredibel WFM-Multiview where you can display all Inputs simultaniusly?
@@BroadcastBuddyTV Is it then a single feed to the monitor? The video made it sound like it was two simultaneous feeds to it, and the monitor displaying on to the left, and the other to the right.
Hi! We haven't really been asked to do an EDL, but the Carbonite switcher is capable of producing one. I already have LTC running to it, so I'd just need to run it to the Hyper Decks and we'd be able to present one with the ISO records.
You should do a full BTS of a production. That'd be amazing

Great looking truck, but the number of open cans on the engineering desk, my heart.
Open *empty cans 😁
Come back, we need more!! 😭🤞🤞 Best broadcast channel on UA-cam
Absolutely beautiful OB !! Thanks for sharing! I love your BTS and all the knowledge and insight you share with your walkthroughs. Much appreciated!
The trailer looks great!! Can explain the openTruck standard?
Thank you!!

@@BroadcastBuddyTV thank you! I am looking forward to your price break down video. *hint hint* :)

Multiverter via Sweetwater FTW! And seeing the truck in action after you get the SMPTE Fibre patch installed, sweet!
can you do a video on the setup of the cameras and how the video gets to the trailer and how you set up the trailer on site please.

Damn the result looks dope
Great work 👌
Can I ask what do you think of blackmagic design eco system for tv broadcast ?
Very Nice 🙂
Can u share a list of hardware used for this unit? The cost of everything, and links to where you bought it?

Here you go!

How are you liking the Netgear AV switches at 3:50? Seems like it's impossible to find anyone using them.
They've been working pretty well. Also pretty easy to configure!
How do you earn enough to pay for this gear doing HS sports?

We use LiveUs provided by the stations.
Truck looks really nice!
Whitch Leader Waveformer do you use there with four SDI Inputs and this incredibel WFM-Multiview where you can display all Inputs simultaniusly?
Hi and thanks!
It's the LV7600!
The curved multiview looks great! Great idea! Is it easy enough to route different things in to it?
Hi and thanks!!
Yes, each PIP is a destination on the Ultrix Router.
@@BroadcastBuddyTV Is it then a single feed to the monitor? The video made it sound like it was two simultaneous feeds to it, and the monitor displaying on to the left, and the other to the right.
Yes it takes two inputs, so two 16x9 mutiviewers and the puts them side by side.
@@BroadcastBuddyTV What make/model is the monitor?
VIOTEK SUW49C
What mounts are you using for the EIC and V1 monitors mounted in the corner?
Hi! They're just a couple of short arm mounts from Walmart 😅
So cool!
Setup please
Which test pattern generator are you using in the truck?
Ross Video SRG2200 :)
Congrats on the truck! Looks like Hitachi RCPS... Which Cameras are you using?
Hi and thank you!!
We use the SK-HD1800s :)
@@BroadcastBuddyTV We use the same cameras! Love them.
Do you have any good workflow for creating an EDL from your live mix and multicam recording?

@@BroadcastBuddyTV great functionality of the Carbonite… definitely something the ATEM switchers lack!
Man, what fiber multiplexers do you use? the OB is litt! ❤
They're custom built out of a company overseas for a colleuge of mine. He recently got out of the business though and sold them to me 😅
Awesome
Job Ryan! How many channels is the RTS?
Thank you! There are 32 channels!
ben waiting for this one !
