Ah stop IMF and the world bank did not ask Nigeria and Kenya to come and borrow money,these countries asked for loans not those financial institutions,so they have to protect their loans by stipulating certain financial instruments and securities,that is business,if they don’t want it then they should not take it period
Borrowing for consumption is what most African leaders do. The banks (IMF, World Bank, Afrexim Bank etc) need to be held responsible for these predatory loans and the government officials need to be put in check. The question is when are Nigerians going to wake up to holding the so-called leaders accountable?
Untill citizens realise that it is in their names that these pple are borrowing to loot, and there are consequences....this mess will continue! Kenyans are just waking up!!
