Leather Craft] Making a Case for my End Nipper using Box Stitch

I use a end nipper (in Japanese "KUIKIRI") for adjusting the length of zipper. I threw it into the tool box carelessly and the blade was nicked. I can still use it, so I made this case to reflect on it. I should take care of my tools more...
I usually go into shooting after the design has been refined, but this time I went into shooting with a rather rough design. This kind of easy handicraft is quite fun.
Making a case for my tool is a good chance to try something I want to test and something I'm not good at. I tried "box stitch" this time. If I can sew this beautifully, the range of things I can make will widen, so I want to master it.

I have watched several of your video's over the last couple of days and learned some very helpful techniques, But I think the main thing I have learned from you is patience and attention to detail, thank you.
Thank you for your comment. I was very encouraged by your comments! Thank you so much.
Thanks a lot for the video, I’m trying to work on my box stitch at the moment and this video helped a lot.
This was amazing. I love the look of it. Really nice work.
Thank you so much! I love it, too😁
Thank you, Master! Like from AZE 🇦🇿
Thank you ,too!
Really stunning! 👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much!
The technique called "stealing a seam" in Japanese is called "losing a stitch" in English. Great videos, thank you for making them!
Thank you for your comment. I wanted to know how I should express this technique was in English, so it's very helpful. Thank you for your kindness!
@@haku-handmadeleatherworks-5765 For sure! Also, as a native English speaker your English is very good and easy to understand. Thank you again for making these excellent videos!
I like your well.presented design. Thank you.
Thank you, too.😊
Great job!
Thank you!!
amazing work,
Thank you so much!
Very nice work.
Thank you so much!!
Very nice! I am glad I saw this video! Gonna try it right now!! One question Mr HAKU..that glue you used-is it strong like contact glue or you would say like Seiwa or Sha 100 glue. When you mix it with water how long can it stay in a closed jar? Thank you!
Thank you for your comment.
The glue used in this shot is a little sticky, but it hasn't hardened in the jar yet. It's been about a month.
This adhesive is water-based, so you can adjust the viscosity to your liking by adding water before it hardens completely.
Thank you for your comment. I'm so glad.
Great video and great neat proper work, Thank you ! Would you be able to share the pattern ?
Thank you.
It's my pleasure. I'm glad you enjoy my video .Thank you.
まさかの、ですよね。「んなモン、分かるかいっ!」っと怒られるかと思いました(^^;
課題山積み状態です。それだけ奥が深いんでしょうね(^^;
thank you for the video. I would like the captions to be in English.
Thank you for your comment.
This video has English subtitles. Please turn on UA-cam subtitles function.
Or was there a strange expression in English subtitles? If so, I'm sorry for my poor English.
Thank you for your comment.
No, it's not that expensive. It is very easy to use. It's my favorite.
So main body's length is based on the number of stitching holes of the side part?
No, the number of holes is not matched. I use a technique called "losing a stitch" to make adjustments. 06:40~
@@haku-handmadeleatherworks-5765 oh I see. your video has been so informative thanks!

HAKU -handmade leatherworks-
