    This product is really great. I have been looking for a powerful energy storage device as a backup power source for my garden. Thanks Jeff! Great review

    4800 usable watts on a 5120 system? That’s almost 94% efficiency that’s great!

    Man thnx for great info. I myself dont even dare to touch the inside of my computer without antistatic gloves, but then again i do not have your knowledge. Man this is no complaint, im a nono with computerchips and so, but seen your video, i think i go for this one, i have 6 solarpanels on my roof so i think i can load this beast proper and use as backup.

    Nice review. I'm on the fence about this but the price just can't be beat for what it is. Also to note. You need to turn off power throttling to lock the voltage to around 110V constant to get above 2200W.

      @@user-vk5ws3jl1l technically yes if the vehicle allows a charger while in drive. Although it would probably be difficult to fit more than 400 watts of solar on a normal sized EV car.

    Is it weatherproof Jeff? How long could you play your N64 on it, when you fix it..........

    • @jeffescortlx
      @jeffescortlx  Рік тому

      That's a good question. I do believe they put in some effort to make it splash proof. But even then I wouldn't leave it out in the rain. It could run my N64 for probably at least 160 hours on a single charge!

    Did you use the 30 Amp receptacle at all?

    • @jeffescortlx
      @jeffescortlx  2 місяці тому

      Not exactly, If I remember correctly the inverter just has one output. So the 30 amp socket shares the same power as the regular 120 volt outlets.

    What happens when you have solar and AC-in setup at the same time ? Does it use solar? AC ? both ? Can't find anything about this.

    • @jeffescortlx
      @jeffescortlx  Рік тому

      I'm not sure, I didn't test for this. But I am pretty sure anytime the AC is connected that it just directly passes grid power to the AC outputs.

      @@jeffescortlx Keep my home lab running on UPS longer than it can now with the regular ups's you buy (1500wh I believe and not nearly as durable as these batteries). And I figured if I buy this thing, I want to utilize the solar charging part of it too. I don't think it could run 24/7 of a mix of solar and battery ?

    • @jeffescortlx
      @jeffescortlx  Рік тому +1

      @@azr2d1 in my own personal opinion I would probably simplify the system. I would go with a limiting grid tide inverter. These do not need a battery. They are very simple, if the solar panels are making power they allow you to use that for your entire house grid. And when the sun goes down you automatically go back to using grid power with no noticeable transition. The disadvantages if you have a large solar array but small power consumption there is a possibility of wasted potential. But on the plus side there is no battery expense or device needed to switch from off-grid to on grid.

    I know I sound paranoid, but after seeing videos of huge fires caused by e-Bikes, I'd imagine something like this might be a similar risk if it ever failed? 😳 I don't know if most of these fires are truly caused by leaving them plugged in too long (design flaw much?) or from cheap components, improper use, etc.
    Anyway, it's cool that companies send you so much stuff! You're very thorough and knowledgeable!

    • @jeffescortlx
      @jeffescortlx  Рік тому +1

      That is a genuine concern. And I keep my eyes open for issues that could lead to that. I believe a lot of those fires from e-bikes/hoverboards were from lithium ion 18650 cells that had over inflated specs labeled on them. The higher the capacity the faster it can charge and discharge safely. But the Chinese market has no problem claiming a 18650 cell is 3000mAh when it's really 1200mAh. I believe the new lithium-iron phosphate cells get less angry when things go bad. But I always make sure the products I promote have good battery management systems and plenty of fuses for when things go wrong. Since the battery capacity checks out I have faith in the charging and discharging rates.
