Ya know, I listen to 40's on 4 and 50's on 5 all the time on my serious XM radio and really wish that our current generation could appreciate it. This isn't butchering, or destroying a classic. It's almost a rendition that appeals to the modern younger generation. It should be looked at as a way to keep the classics alive and going - not as destruction. If you want to listen to the classic or think it's better than go listen to it, it's not like this guy took the only version ever made and changed it so no one can hear the original. Appreciate this for what it is or just go get yourself a cassette player.
I am a bit of a Frank Sinatra fan, so when I saw this, I naturally recoiled in horror, however... Songs such as these will be lost forever, if they are not interpreted by the younger generation. You have faithfully kept to the original tempo and feel of this song, and you have kept Ole' Blue Eyes at the heart. Most remixes tend to 'use and abuse' the song that they are remixing, but I admire the fact that your remix is very subtle, and you have shown respect by rapping towards the end of this song. I think that if Frank Sinatra were alive today, he would have appreciated this! Well done. :)
I love frank sinatra, more so than any other artist probably. This is my favorite song by him, and this is an excellent remix! Im glad you didnt ruin an amazing song! :D
Great remix. I was suprised because you can't really remix a Frank song to sound good and this was pre damn good. I wish the whole remix was just Frank! But that's only my opinion.
Please for the love of god tell me you have a version without Nas. Not that I don't like it, I actually love it, I just would love a version without it.
I was curious as to how some progressive hippster's would dare dabble with a Master's work... I was stunned by the lack of respect and understanding given toward the original Sinartra/ Riddle arrangements. I can guarantee I will never gravel to this level again, esp since all I need do is listen to the man himself, again Mr.Sinatra doesn't any help from any of you punks. DIG... just messing with you..TOM P Sleep warm
agreed with thomas puleo but this is the best remix out there so far.. you could do better hombre.. but i seriously appreciate your ability to stick to the original pace and 60s theme of the song.. although the rap verse comes in so late.. and i wouldve kept the chorus in the second "thats life" segment... and used that to fade instead of sinatra. but overall, id say well done. thanks for keeping it old and throwing in the sandlot vibe in there as well. salud
If it wasn't for the awful rap at the end this song would have been a beautiful remix for slow dancing to. Rappers have no business being with Sinatra. It just does not work right
Ahhhhh!!!! Absolutely no!! Nas and ol blue eyes should never be on the same song!! Why!? Why did you ruin it? I had concerns with a dj whoever mix but then Nas!? Rip Frankie. He'd use this record as a ashtray and out out the smoke with his drink. Shameful is what it is.
