22:10 As someone who recently did a whole playthrough as Rome with that mod, yeah the Villa Rustica honestly does feel a bit undertuned. You basically have to surround it with farms in order for it to give any impressive yields, and that kind of comes at a cost to the farms because chances are most of those farms aren't in a triangle. It does get some culture from being next to wonders but even then you still need multiple wonders to get anything noteworthy out of it. I feel like it needs a buff or a rework. Like, maybe it gets culture from being next to farms or it gives some extra yields to tiles around it or something like that. At the moment, it just feels like a farm but with a little gold and culture sprinkled on it.
"Huge flaming man." I think I saw a man with that phrase on his shirt at a parade I attended last June. (I didn't actually, and besides, the nearest event in my area is a street festival, not a parade, but the joke was right there.)
Man, I've had games where my entire empire put together wasn't producing the turn 100 yields of Frankensense Battlezord there. Even with a bunch of power increasing mods, that's impressive.
Ursa, I know you usually shy away from them, but... could you imagine this game with game modes on??? Herc... Sinbad... Voidsingers... Owls of Minerva... Turtles Monopoly??? Please do a game where you throw out all the stops and just let it rip, or even a few. I recently played one with the CivBlitz mod where you mix traits; I did the Antiquities and Parks Leader Ability from Bull Moose Teddy with the Nine Dragon River Delta Vietnam Civ ability to plant woods at Medieval Faires. Throw in the Lavra unique district and Sphinx unique improvement for appeal all over and it was nuts. That's just one example. There are so many
Just finished this with a 1590ad religion victory win. Finished the tech tree and launched the exoplanet before that though. Lots of fun! Building science centers seems a bit anti-Kupi though. I suspect you are once again going to win a early science victory. I didn't even find Biolemscent bay until way later in game, that early grab is going to propel you to victory. Great game! Keep them coming!
Would putting a fishing boat next to Great Barrier Reef at SaltyTech give you a culture bomb and all the tiles you wanted? Or does that not apply to the farthest ring tiles?
I'm loving the low grievance game. Have you ever played a zero grievance game? It's a challenge, especially if you don't cop out and go for a diplo victory.
paying kupe and not doing liang fishery tour is just doing it wrong Ancestral Hall. Builder that improves ressources and culture bombs. Liang. With Fisheries. Make new builder with 4 or more charges. Put fisheries around all the improved sea ressources. DONE.
so correct me if I'm wrong but fisheries removes the +1 production from shipyards right? So they're only worth it if your housing is capped or liang is in that city giving the +1 production you lose? i see how it helps but is it worth the 2 governors and building charges? idk!!
I used to think they were op until I realized they negate the shipyard production. That instant boost to coastal cities from getting a shipyard is one of the most satisfying things in the game
yes! the gameplay mods you need for this game and a list of all the UI mods I use can both be found on my discord. I don't know them all off the top of my head and it's a MASSIVE list so it's easier to keep it written in one place!
16:18 I don’t really see the point of feed the world when you have no holy sites and your a fishing nation but I guess it’s better than nothing still building holy sites will be a waste and food is already in abundance so I don’t really see the reason to cherish something that will probably do nothing
You should generate grievances if you finish a wonder someone else was building, double the amount if it was 90% completed
Really digging how Terra Mirabalis adds variety to the playthroughs!
honestly it's a lot of fun!
With the Natural Wonders mod I'd love to see a Wonders run where you must always have more Natural Wonders than World Wonders.
"Kupes in Space"- sounds like a Henson\Muppets bit😄
I have tried Kupe with Governor Overhaul on the Atoll Map, the playthrough was perfectly balanced as Spiff would say :D
sounds hilarious!

totally! it needs just a tiny bit of extra and I think it would be there
Ursa's dream of getting Feed The World came true! He wasn't even trying!
you need to come back to Diety++. You were on a winning position since tourn 70! haha

Well, if Babylon goes to war with you when you can make corps, you will certainly have 'corps' to go to war! 😝

noone can rival the power of a battlezord

paying kupe and not doing liang fishery tour is just doing it wrong

Didn't really need it for this playthrough id argue

@@UrsaRyanexactly fishery is a bait of governors title and you almost gain nothing comparing to the builder charge cost
