This song is so important for me... my father always heard it when my oncle is dead... we cried so much, it was in 1992... or 1993... I listen it sometimes, and just play it for the first time today with my guitare. Ask ... maybe I could find great version on UA-cam and I find it...

I normally don't care much for stories but your story about your father was very heartwarming.
While listening to your interpretation, I imagined a family man dad playfully singing to his wife and kids, and later in life his son reminiscing those moments, singing the song, expressing how much he misses his dad.

Yes it was written by Lucio Dalla in 1980's, but I was mentioning in my story that the first time I ever heard the song, Pavarotti was singing it, and I was moved. Thank you for your kind words. God Bless.
