Well done cuz! Beautiful room decor :) it was so nice to see grandma on your channel 🤩 Congrats on the job! Keep on keeping God first and He will continue to direct your paths 🙏🏽
I’m currently a senior at UCF about to graduate with my bachelor’s in health science. I should have looked into internships and shadowing early on. I’ve been thinking to do SLPA but I was curious if someone with my major would qualify for this field?
I have my bachelors degree in Speech pathology and I’m looking into becoming a SLP-A. You didn’t need to take additional classes or a program? I’m not familiar with the whole procedure of becoming a SLP-A and I was hoping I can get a job with my degree and internship experience without having to take a program and state exam.
Are you planning on going to graduate school? I going to start my senior year this fall and I’m trying to decide what to do after undergrad. I think becoming an slpa would be a good choice! Congrats on landing your position:)
Yes! So I’m working on my application currently for Fall 22’. I think working as an SLPa is a great choice, you get some experience and take a break from school for a year, and you get to put some money aside for Grad school. So totally would recommend. Thanks for watching 💛
Hi there I’m interested in applying for the SPLA program and would like to learn more about it. How are you doing at your job? By the way I only have my associates degree and I don’t want to get my bachelors because it’s so expensive so I was thinking of getting my certificate at this online SPLA program at a community college. Would you recommend that route or should I just get my bachelors?
Yes that’s smart to save money! Does your state allow people to work with their SLPA for how long they want to? (Florida where I live I can only work with my SLPA license for two years before needing my masters) If not the case, then I would say get your associates, start working and saving money! Ultimately if your goal is grad school though then you’d need your bachelors but you’d have money saved from working full time and lots of experience which will put you ahead of your peers in experience! Hope that helps :)
@@ReginaFortune Yes that helps thanks a lot. I just found out that I would need to get my bachelors in order to become an SPLA but I’m going to get my associates first and then transfer over so it will be a lot more cheaper.
Yes, in many states these is a board of speech and language pathology and you would get certified through your state. I googled SLP certification in Florida and got my license
