I hunt around farming land in Georgia where they are getting permits and they are doing a lot of damage to the farms and I understand the reason to do this but what is happening because the deer are hunted year round the does are more nocturnal than the bucks which made for the strangest hunting season ever. Tagged out early on my bucks which was great but struggled to get does so you are changing opportunities for hunters. Not against the farmers, I understand their problem but don't kid yourself when the deer are hunted year round they become more nocturnal
Just like any other govt. program , its being abused. Give me a list of processors open during the dates, on a farmers permit, in central Ga. Permits generally run from early summer to September. I'm not against the programs intentions , but there is no way to manage it. Show me the numbers. How many struggling families received free venison in central Ga. this past summer?
