Ich liebe doch nur dich ( I am loving you ) Great to hear it in English adds something special when you understand what it's all about , as always Mariska makes it very special indeed ❤ Great having a signed copy to ...I have a 1969 album signed as well ...anything with Mariska's signature on it is extremely rare. 😊
thats brilliant about the signed album, did you get it signed? or lucky enough to know who did? or like me was you fortunate enough to buy it? definatly one to treasure!
Yeah really treasure that LP. I bought it from a Dutch guy who had it signed in a shop in Den Haag , still has shop name with sticker on....I seem to have collected everything Mariska has done over the years including Shocking blue stuff but just one single that has alluded me 'Topkapi' 1965 . I wish I'd seen her and Shocking blue😌 I was in the Hague (Rotterdam) in 71 I went across on the ferry while I was an apprentice Shipwright and then 77 when I was in the Royal Navy and always kicking myself thinking if only ! 😂 Wish I could only go back in time 😌 maybe one day 😊😂
@@andrewpeacock7584 lol wish i had discoverd them sooner myself, i was hooked the first time I heard never marry a railroad man, then i saw HER and that was it lol, Got all the shocking blue stuff myself, and bought a good few singles, both mariska and shocking blue few years back which is when i managed to pick this up, think that was from holland too. gutted i never knew of them whilst she was alive. like you tho i often dream of going back and seeing them, lets make a deal , if I or you discover how to time travel first, to invite the other lol was some cracking dutch bands around in that Era too! wouldnt mind going back and seeing the early years of earth and fire too. Shocking blue tho, imo very underated, and not to well known in the UK really, such talented musicians! Great to talk to another fan tho! hats off mate!
@@TanCoyer I have the first two albums by Earth and Fire but like most bands mid 70s they got disco'd 😯 drum machines and glitter , ok for some of the band's but others it just really wasn't their scene....Mariska and the band where badly managed to ...Robby was totally drained, they even took over the fan club 'Pinky' then just put it to bed it's like the Dutch management just hated their fame...they where called capitalist pigs and had stuff thrown at them even by a home crowd at the Pink Pop concert 71 for getting a No 1 in the States as they where originally part of the underground music scene . Mariska and Robby had high morals , no drugs and parties , she would have non of it and after gigs went home to her parents and sisters, she was offered a million to pose nude in Vogue ( or some magazine) but she turned it down. Ike Turner tried to chat her up and take her back to his room but she ran off back up to her room and locked herself in till the next morning . Those sort of things in the early days would get you snubbed and your career took a dive. No matter what Mariska was given she was a pure professional that loved to sing and put 100% in. She would have been better served having an album of he singing at the piano, early Carly Simon ish.
@@andrewpeacock7584 nice that you know your stuff! I did hear about the clean living, opposite of many bands at the time lol wonder how many today have actually " slept their way to the top" I wish mariska did do more stuff, but im so grateful to have what we do. i did know the Ike story too, but tbh id forgotton it was him. so many talents badly managed back then too or screwed over. i loved earth and fire when i first heard them, but very dissapointed when they went more mainstream and disco'd as you say, also Jerney Kaagman did pose nude didnt she? listened and have too some of the outsiders , also really enjoyed catapult kind of a dutch version of the sweet, the most well known is obviously golden earing also out of the hague, defo the place to be late 60s , early 70s. Ive always prefered everything from those eras, be it cars, fashion, pop culture etc id go back in an instant! beats all the rubbish we have these days lol

She puts a smile on my face 💘💘
I'm Looking For This Song, No One Upload In UA-cam So Far...
glad you can listen to it here, i bought this off of Discogs a few years ago, might be worth a look on there.
enjoy
