What if you can't let go because it still happens. I have someone who continues to break into my house when I leave. He is destroying my house and the police won't do anything. I have a restraining order that continues to be ignored. How do you get over something like this?
I know what I would do if I had a restraining order against someone. Actually, I know what I did. Being a victim was not my style. I moved away - far away. I started a new life, got help and made different choices. I could stay there and be tortured, or I could leave. I chose to choose me & my kids. That was 1982. My life today is a fairytale.
im sooo sorry to hear about that, try putting up cameras for evidence & continue to pray for him, im standing in agreement with you that his soul be saved!!
If that’s the case then something needs to be done. Someone breaking into your house and ignoring restraining orders? thats illegal, I don’t even know what’s happening to the police. that’s awful. Perhaps you need to move out to somewhere else while you’re having it reported. Maybe a friend or a relative’s house if you have. I’m praying for you, sister
The answer is obvious. Prayer. There is no concern that you cannot bring to God. Whatever is stressing you out, take it to God. He wants to hear about it, he wants to help you, he doesn’t want you to deal with what you’re going through alone. Why? Because he loves you. Don’t depend on the police, depend on God alone. Your trust and faith should be given to God. Put him first because he is a sovereign God, he is in charge. Not the police. Don’t seek the creation, seek the creator.. there is nothing he cannot do. When it comes to resentment, it’s not easy to let go of it without the Holy Spirit. Pray to the lord for help. Love is not a feeling, it’s a choice. You may be feeling annoyed and resentment for this individual breaking into you’re house, but you still need to choose to love that individual with you’re freewill. You never know, this may all be a test that God is using to build your character. Just like your situation, many are like this towards God. We commit sins over and over again and yet God still continues to love us, he forgives us if we ask and forgets about our sins. He doesn’t have resentment towards us. This is how we ought to be. Quick to forgive, slow to anger, how our Lord is.
