I like it when the guardsmen pulls the horse back into the little Archway. And then he strokes it on the neck. You can tell how much he cares for the horse, and trying to get it out of the way of all the people touching it.
They have really never been around a horse. I would not touch the horse because the horse is not familiar with me. So I know the horse doesn’t want me to touch it. I could not do horse guard duty because I wouldn’t be able to tolerate people coming up being too familiar with my horse ( who is my partner) and touching him. Imagine being touched by random people all day long.
It amazes me that people don't realize that by grabbing the reins you could cause harm to the people around you. The guard motions his horse gently so the little girl can pat the horse, grabbing the reins abruptly would be like grabbing the steering wheel of a car in motion. The guard could be caused to lose control over his horse and knock over a child.

Tourists who come 2 London these days R so bloody rude! Why can’t they leave the King’s Guards alone??!
Some of these tourists that look like they are contemplating how and when to touch the reins appear to be getting encouragement from their friends and family to try and touch and see if they can get away with it.
Well we have signs up now so if the Morons still get hold of them then they want the Guards Boot up their ARSE!! Thank you for your service Godbless you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Most people don't even register the sign. And most people don't have English as their native tongue. And of the minority of people whose native tongue IS English, a good proportion of them don't understand what the reins are. So while the sign is to be welcomed, it is not a magic 'cure-all' for the idiocy of tourists. What would be more effective would be an army of Arnie clones, ready to reinforce the message with their teeth.
Glad ro see they put a new sign up . Let's hope the silly tourists read it. They should put an extra line on it , " touch the reins, and you will be fined." 😁
You can tell the horse is frustrated, constant people on both sides touching it and making noises and grabbing the reins is sensory over load for the horse and the guard , people need to start using common sense and have respect for animals and other humans
Je monte est jamais je laisse approcher ma jument, les Gardes eux n'ont pas le choix, ils doivent supporter les touristes indélicats et irrespectueux 🤬👎
Huge question???? The signs say horses can bite and kick. Let alone don,t touch the reins. Why in the hell is the mouth and nose the first place these idiots go to. Then when one of them gets bit, they make it into a big circus. I wonder how they would handle it if it were the other end.😂
What I have seen are only little nips. If a horse wants to really bite, they can and do break the skin or even take a chunk. These horses have no way to tell the tourists not to get into their space, so they nip. NO BIG DEAL When you REALLY get bitten, you will know it!
After watching so many of these, it's clear 90% of the people are respectful. Many can be seen thanking the guard. Some apologize after touching the reins when the sign is absent. And so many are beaming at the experience. A lot of this type of video have a titillating title, you expect to see people being much worse than they are. I guess it gets more likes and views if people think there will be drama and abuse. Personally I love seeing how sweet these giants are with little kids. Or when the guards bend the rules a little for the disabled.❤
It would be such an easy thing to erect a removable barrier in front of horse and rider while they are in position. They would then not have to endure the constant torment from ignorant tourists.
@brendakeyes5573 Any form of barrier is not possible it's a public footpath and potentially dangerous for horse and Trooper if the horse became unsettled and ran forward
Not only are tourists rude to horses, guards, and police but they are rude to each other. When one person is standing for a picture, don't shove your way in and block. Yeesh.

Parents who carry their children to the horse for the child to touch it are irresponsible and careless.
And no nothing about horses.
This is a working horse not a pet … please respect the king’s guard !
Those people wanting a photo had to tell that Chinese woman to move away
Unbelievable how so many people are totally unaware that the horse just tried to take a great big bite out of them
I wish the horse would bite them. Maybe then they would leave the poor animal alone.

Respect to this guard . He gave a soft warning
So happy they finally changed their sign to read "Don't touch reins ..." too
A pity it didn't say " don't touch the horses"
Amazingly🙄, it didn’t change a thing….
Have you noticed that the nutters tend to just stand and stare at the horse for a length of time.
Just the other day, I had nothing to do so I timed these 2 women. 9 minutes!! Just petting, staring and taking pictures.
Guard: trying not to heave. Horse: 'Naff off!!!
The ones who just stand in front of people who are obviously having a photo taken are incredibly rude.

Idiocy is hereditary. 😂
Those people are ridiculous as if they had never seen or touched a horse before
"Sign? What sign? What? Oh....that one.....yeah, well that doesn't apply to me?"
Some of these tourists are getting too close up to horse.
Well we have signs up now so if the Morons still get hold of them then they want the Guards Boot up their ARSE!! Thank you for your service Godbless you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
that's a good one

Don't capitalize "Morons", they'll think their important!!
Well done guardsman…..keep the mauling to a minimum..
They think it's petting time at the zoo.
😂😂😂
I realize I am very prejudiced because I look at all of these humans and all I can think of is oh, poor horses.
This is a horse that is using this time to have a bit of a snooze. However, these tourists keep coming along and waking him up,

the guard can't back the horse any more further in the sentry box and these idiots still want to touch the horse
Once the guard tells you to step back or don't touch the reins, the tourist(s) should lose their privilege for a photo.
Woman trys telepathy, stares at horse.
I hate these wannabe horse whisperers
Where's Arnie when he's needed. Time to bring him back I think!!!
Je monte est jamais je laisse approcher ma jument, les Gardes eux n'ont pas le choix, ils doivent supporter les touristes indélicats et irrespectueux 🤬👎
Nothing like a boot to get the point across.

Must be very annoying to the trooper
Starting at 0:05 until 1:10 the old woman took herself as a horse whisperer🙄. Laughable!

I've seen a horse bite a man's forehead down to the bone!
Replace the warning sign with don't hold the reins and don't touch the horse.
