I LOVE Dollar Tree DIY’s!! With inflation, the economy, and other factors I don’t understand well…the Dollar Tree has become a primary source of many items I’d otherwise spend MUCH more on at Target, Walmart etc. Your ideas and creative suggestions really help decorate my home without breaking my STRICT budget and limited funds. To do the fluid pours and to get the paint to move you need Floetrol. Mix the paint, Floetrol and bottle water to the consistency of honey. Try that technique and your fluid pours will turn out amazing every time.
@@maryellenbirch2076 you will need to mix the Floetrol and paint first. Check the consistency to know how much water to add to a consistency of warm honey. Use bottled water instead of tap. Mix one color at a time. There is a book on Amazon by Marcy Ferro that if full of information.

Go back about 2 years and you will find tutorials on how she mixes only those 3 ingredients to get cells. Having a color wheel is very handy as well. Knowing a little about color theory helps not to make mud.

The frosted glass with wood accents...it might be a good idea to coil the wood pieces while they are still damp with stain and let them dry that way. Then when you cut the length you need and glue them to the container they will already have a curve to them and they might stay in place easier. These are cute!
The Dollar Tree nearest to me has almost nothing like you are able to find. Makes it hard to source pieces like you can get but do the best I can. I'd go nuts with some of the stores you have acess to!

I use the half circle labels that come with the pizza pans and pie plates, make a sturdier template by tracing the half circle (and turning so you get a whole circle) onto cardboard and have a more or less permanent template for future trays.

For the acrylic poor if you dilute the paint with either water or specialized dilution what you can find in the art supplies at your local Michaels, hobby lobby or Joannes your painting will come out much easier and dry a lot faster

I like to add a little bit of water instead of the floetrol. The wt helps the paint move around too and the painting turns out matte instead of shiny.
