Changing Fog Lights on a Honda Ridgeline

- This is a little departure from most of my videos but I have found that when there is a lack of good videos on how to do something, and I feel like taking on the subject, I feel like I can help. This project of changing out fog lights in a 2nd generation Honda Ridgeline seam to me a daunting project with 14 bolts and fasteners to remove just to get to the lights. After doing it, it was not that hard at all. Hope this help those who might be intimidated to do this project.
UPDATE: There is a way to change out the fog lights by only removing 4 tabs, this can be done by removing a small panel on both sides that is held on with push tabs.

Great video! One tip that I found in the comments on another video is that you can just remove a couple screws/clips right below the fog bulb and that will give you enough room to squeeze your hand in between the plastic pieces and change the bulbs. It's tight, but it works. You have to do it mostly by feel. Saved my bacon as the back Philips screw on my cover had stripped out.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to post this. I need to replace the drivers side fog lamp as the lens is broken. You mentioned in your update, there are 4 tabs to remove that will allow me to do this. Where are the 4 tabs ? thanks for any illumination you can provide here.
There are a total of two panels one on each side that can be removed. It’s easier but may not give you enough room to do what you need.

I have a 2019 Black edition. How do you get the turn signal lights to illuminate with the fog lights?
Mine is a 2019 RTL and that’s the way mine work

So these are yellow lights? Seems like that on the link yet they look white fog lights ? Not sure which is better the yellow or white for fogs?
Mine are white LED lights, they work great and are at least 50% brighter than the ordinal lights.

Amber fog lights or yellowish fog lights are much better in the fog than white lights or in the Snow White Light reflects in fog or smoke and just spreads out making the white fog even brighter so it's very hard to see amber light does not reflect through fog and snow therefore you can see much better as the amber light will cut through the fog not reflected I'm putting Amber ones in my vehicle I have a gen 1

I don't have a Honda but entertaining anyway. Nice of Honda to engineer the car to make replacing bulbs so easy. Guess they figure if Chevy, Ford, and Dodge can make replacing things difficult, so can they. I swear these car mfg's make it so you have to take the car back to the dealer even for something as small as a light bulb. Made the mistake of bringing my Nissan to the dealer for a cabin air filter. $90, yes, $90 for a filter I could buy for $20 and spend an hour myself installing. Well, that's what I get for being lazy.
Changing any cabin filter would take you 15 minutes max... You're exactly right though they try to make things as hard as they can for DIY buyers
