Because otherwise this sermon could cause certain immature people to go in wrong directions. I agree that we should pray for- and seek after the Power of the Spirit. But the Line what that means should have been drawn more clearly!! Charismatics loved the sermon, as i read in the comments and that's not good. Christ was indwelt by the spirit because salvation is the work of the trinity and because christ freely restricted his use of certain divine attributes... i hope Tim believes so! But please, please! Look at the utter devastation the Charispento crowd has inflicted upon Christianity. Much of what they added to via scriptural excusal is New Age sorcery. There is a difference in that those who commit the unpardonable sin do so with full awareness of what they are saying despite the Gospel light revealed to them. It is not the same as a slip of the tongue.

@@illbehonest I didn’t grow up religious, was in sin with a man who believes in Islam for 5 years. I came to Christ alone in my apartment in April/May 2020. Dropped my boyfriend and committed my life to Christ. Found a church (Reformed Baptist) and was baptized that September. I attended a John MacArthur approved church (I have his study Bible too). I am also a follower of Justin Peters. So I never even considered the gifts being for today. Last night I had an experience in which I was praying for protection for my family and as my prayer intensified, my body began to tingle all over intensely and I could feel my spirit move (if that makes sense). I started praying in tongues - something that has never happened before. I asked the Lord for understanding and was given a translation in English in my head as the words that came out weren’t, sounded like Swedish or Russian. I don’t speak either language, I only speak English. Whatever language it was, I was praising God. I couldn’t sleep afterwards as I was stunned. So I encourage all to pray about it, seek the Lord in all things.
