What's crazy is that the Niners had -2 yards in the first quarter and then went on to score on 6 straight drives. Also, Lenoir lays out Swift, but they kept out the highlight. You should look that up too.

The defense adjusted, and the offense was unstoppable. Bang! Bang!❤️💛
It wouldn't be hard to spank the Eagles again, no matter where they play. You thought they had a good defense. All you have to do was look at the scoreboard at the end of their games. Hella points on both sides, means the Eagles allow hella points to be scored, which tells you their defense sucks. It's backed up by the defensive stats as well, and it's been this way the entire season. If they haven't gotten it right by now, they won't. And yes, the Niners are that much better. They allow very few points (14-15 points). That's why they're the top rated defense. Also add in the fact, regardless of if Purdy is being pressured (and he's pressured a lot), he's still able to move the ball down the field, and nearly every time they get in the red zone, it's an automatic 7, without the "tush push". You have a point spread that's off the charts with the Niners. With the exception of the 3 losses, they've literally de-pants'd and spanked every other team until their asses bled red and gold.

@@kaybevang536 Which was also exploited. Make Hurts a little uncomfortable and he's horrible. We didn't even need to try to sack him. Just flush him from the pocket. He had hella time to try to make a play, and most times, he failed since everyone was covered. 26 of 45 with only 1 garbage time TD to show for is not good.

The tush push is effective, because they use the same basic concept of a rugby scrum. The reason its effective is because the rb's are getting low and helping to push with the O line. There is a defensive rule that players may not use other defenders to push off on, so its literally impossible to generate the pushing power like the offense
Of course, anyone who's paying attention will see that the touchdown was on SECOND down. meaning that the tush push was ineffective on 1st down. Watch the All-22 and you'll see that on first down, Chase Young came around and pulled Jalen Hurts back. It's not a horse-collar tackle because Hurts was inside the pocket still. THAT's the way to stop the Eagles tush push.
yeah some things are fixable but sometimes like in this case you just get your ass handed to you. You keep saying missed tackles but give credit where it's due, sometimes the guy you're tying to tackle is too damn strong for you to tackle alone. The TD by Jennings, watch it again, he literally threw dude off him, it wasn't just a missed tackle. That last TD by Deebo, the play was so fast there really wasn't anyone in position to tackle him. You're only seeing the highlights this was a HARD HITTING game. You Didn't see the hit on Swift that left him doubled over. The 49ers went in there with something to prove Deebo in the lead and they handed it to them. Oh yeah Hurts was put out the game for a lil bit as well. Side note apparently also on the Deebo TD in the huddle when he got the play call he told Aiyuk to meet him in the end zone, that's why he came sliding in like that.

Deebo went untouched due to the blocking. Lynch and Shannahan pick draft picks or take players off trade or waiver wire that block on offense, or coach them to be blockers. Want to be a 49ers receiver? Better learn to block. Hell, you want to a 49ers QB? Better learn to block 😅....9er fans, am i wrong?

Not wrong. Niner receivers since the early 80's were coached to be good blockers, especially downfield. Bill Walsh used to say one good block 10 yards past the line of scrimmage was the difference between another down or a touchdown. Watch this when Jerry Rice blocked downfield for John Taylor, who got two 90+ TD's passes in the same game.

I've been a fan since since '88 I'm 43, so obviously I couldn't watch some games, being that I'm on the East Coast but since the internet, I watch them all. Go 9ers

Eagles owned the 1st quarter. After that it was all 49ers. 6 straight drives with a TD in this game.
The only real plays from the Eagles was when Hurtz moved out if the pocket and made plays using his feet to extend plays. 9ers d pretty much played Warner as QB spy. The d line played contain rather than sack. Niners put back ups in late in the 4th.
With any catch you have to “complete the process” of catching the ball
The reason to ban the play is because the defenses were banned from pushing into the o line to block punts and field goals o line should not be able to do same on opposite side

The problem with the tush push is it had been used a lot in high schools back in the 80's but what was happening is the QB's head was being snapped or pushed back while his teammates were shoving him from the rear and the QB's were ending up with neck injuries. That's why they banned it.

I don't dislike the Push, but its not a fb play. Why not allow the big guys to pick smaller players up and walk them backwards for yards? The play is fine as long as no one is behind him pushing.
