What a Nerd! Uhh, me too. Which is why I watched this video. Though I think you're in a love-hate relationship with the Co5. You say it should be a relic, and yet you use it all the time. Me too. In fact I'm learning the fretboard with the Co5 progression. For now I'm just sticking to triads in the scale of G, and looking for patterns. I like using figured bass, so I guess I'm learning the CAGED system. But I'm thinking of 6, 6/4 and Root position for now. It helped me on the piano, as well as for transposing.
