After watching this video I will never say when there is an accident and I am sitting in traffic "what is taking so long?" All of you responding should be proud of yourselves. Prayers for everyone.
Even though this video gave me anxiety it came as a reminder that I am one of the lucky ones. Thankful for my life being spared 23 yrs ago in an accident that disabled me. I am grateful to the ones that cut me from the car & all the ones who took care of me throughout the long journey to regain my mobility. I hope this girl is as fortunate as I have been.
My first accident in 2002 I was rear ended while stationary but after two weeks I got plurecy and new Monia. I know I’ve spelt both words wrong but I’m sure you know what I’m saying 😅. Well I got made retired under medical grounds. Then I became a wheelchair user due to chronic pain & in my adapted van in 2015 on 15th December I was hit head on by a van driver. Ended up with fibromyalgia. Now I’m in a electric chair and a different adapted van and I have complex disabilities. I’m lucky my tyre saved me in my first accident. I’m looking at this and I thought this person had no chance with the impact. America is left hand drive? I thought that was no chance but I hope she makes it through this. And if all goes well this girl needs to do her lottery numbers. She’s very lucky to be alive. It looks like a very fast accident. Trees are not usually forgiving. But I hope she pulls through.
Just terrifying to watch. Praise God that you survived !!! I hope this young lady is just as blessed......this must be so hard to watch for her & her loved ones, but at least she is alive and hopefully doing well.
God, you seriously believe that mumbo jumbo. You know you have been serious indoctrinated as a child and will suffer the consequences all your life if not getting psychiatric counseling! 😢
I have worked hundreds of crashes just like this and I learned to never judge the severity of the crash by how the vehicle looks. I have seen vehicles that basically exploded and the occupants lived and other vehicles with damage a two-year-old could inflict and the occupants were dead. Kind of like never judge a book by its cover.
My prayers is for the 21 yrs. old victim, may the Lord help her heal mentally, emotionally and psychically. Thank you to all the responders for all you do to help same people. God bless you all.
This was just amazing to watch! God Bless ALL these people. They did an absolute amazing job. This young lady got herself extremely lodged in there. Has there been any update on her condition? What her injuries were?
*UPDATE FROM THE DRIVER* Dymi went on to say “…no more surgeries. I am at home and recovering. I had a broken collarbone, a broken femur, and my hip was fractured in 3 places and I had a little internal bleeding”. Won’t HE Do it🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Britton, who goes by the nickname “Dymi Rai Rai”, recently sent a message to Beech Grove Fire Chief Jamie Gunter and he has shared it with KJAS. Dymi wrote “Hey, just a little update. It was heavy rain storm and she hydroplaned into the trees.

I agree with you 100%! Keyboard warriors is what I like to call them. I'm amazed she even survived and they did an excellent job, that car was mangled!
While I admire the effort of the rescuers , I found it unbelievable that some including the " Public Safety official stood in line with the winch rope underload . Evident that they have never seen one snap ! Hope the young lady is ok .
Finally! Some good boys Hooking a tow truck to the vehicle and pulling it away from the objects it hit. I’m don’t know why this isn’t done more often! And damn how fast was she going, prayers to her and her family.
This young woman's screams broke my heart, but in the same right knowing she survived makes my heart happy. The accident was not her fault, as it had been raining and she hydroplaned into the trees. I thank all the responders for the hard work they did to get her out and to the hospital. Her injuries were catastrophic, but from the comments in her own words she listed them and was thankful for all who saved her! For all the behind the keyboard jockeys, saying this and that should have been done, please remember these men and women who were there as responders are professionals, and they did what was necessary to extract this young woman trapped inside her vehicle. So, there is no need to say what you would have done, coz you were not there they were. It's just too convent to say what you would have done, as by doing so only relates to yourself importance, which must be your thing in getting attention, and you got that attention, just not the kind of attention you were expecting.
Does Beech Grove have it’s own jaws of life or did they have to wait for some to arrive? I see it is a volunteer department so likely they had to wait. This is why donating to organizations that provide life saving equipment to underfunded rural police and fire departments is so crucial! There are departments out there that don’t have things that city dwellers take for granted like jaws of life, bulletproof vests (human and K9), body cameras, fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, defibrillators, etc.
They carry their own. The Fire Chief is Jamie Gunter, he's amazing at finding used equipment that's still in excellent condition from larger departments.

She was not texting and driving. There had been a heavy rain that caused her to hydroplane into those trees. Please stop assuming without reading other comments. They might inform or teach you something.
You guys weren't trained to stand well away from that cable/chain when the car is being yanked on ? .Yikes . I seen bad things happen standing that close . .. stay safe.
To many people around the vehicle, some without turnout gear or eye protection. Four cops doing nothing but getting in the way. Definitely some safety issues and concerns at this scene.
Maybe the extra people are there to step in if the three initial rescuers tire or become injured. Sometimes equipment is put away in haste so it doesn’t come back out nice and neat the next time it is needed. Please cut first responders a break. They many times do miraculous things that save lives.

25,265 views Apr 5, 2023 This is a video of an extrication of a driver following a driver-side impact with a tree. The vehicle was a 2008 Lexus. The extrication took approximately 50 minutes, and this video captured 20 minutes of the operation. Emergency responders included the Beech Grove (TX) Volunteer Fire Department, Jasper County (TX) Sheriff's Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and a crew from Jasper Towing & Recovery assisted by pulling the car away from the tree. The driver, a 21-year-old female, survived the crash, although she suffered catastrophic injuries.
@ROSEMARY DUDLEY, yes, they did, but apparently, some can't seem to read the description and ask questions that are clearly stated in, said description.

She hit a slick spot on the road while it was raining. She's a correctional officer at the jail. Do a little detective work and you'll find out the story instead of making one up off your opinion.
I just don't understand why they didn't cut the roof pillars and remove the entire roof for better access. They could have completed that task in 10 or 15 minutes at most. Instead, they struggled to gain access to the driver for 20 minutes. Attendants had basic access pretty quickly and then most of the crew stood around and could have gotten that roof removed. I am an ex Fire Marshall. I guess there must be things I couldn't observe. I thank all of the responders. They are all good men and women.
Thank you! Watching I was thinking Keystone Cops, although I did see volunteer on some jackets. Then reading all these comments about the great job, I questioned myself. I thought why didn't they cut that branch, finally did half through video, cut the roof off, in pieces if necessary and get it done! Once car was away from tree and pulled up, not far enough, it should have been much easier. Unfortunately I've been to a few accidents this bad or worse as the people died but thus seemed unusually slow. There were too many standing around watching, not helping, like moving branches so paramedics didn't trip over them!
let's all stand next to an under tension whinch cable if it gives way we'll be okay there's medics here, some people should know better, shouldn't have been anyone standing near it just the operator on the truck and the guide on the opposite side to the way it was pulling so he wasn't in danger
That was hard to watch,I would have dragged that car out alot quicker and if they could have cut the roof off otherwise they did what they could , I could tell they were all pitching ,the cop shining the light seemed very concerned,I didn't see the end, how did the occupant do?? Golden hour was ticking fast
Not too bright are ya? Just watched a video with Beech Grove plastered on their backs and you can’t figure out they’re the Volunteer Fire Department? 🤯
This started with the crew working on the car. And it ended with the crew working on the car. I guess I missed everything. I never saw anybody get rescued out of the car and I never heard she was a woman.
Car manufacturers have fought each and every new safety requirement since seatbelts (lap belts). There is no way anyone would have made it out alive in any car ever manufactured.before now. It takes so many people from the engineers who designed the improvements all the way to these men and women saving this woman to get here.
When the car companies were fighting it the cars were much safer. Probably heavy enough it wouldn't have hydroplaned but cars today have so much plastic they can't be called a safe car by past specifications. The lighter and smaller they are equals a more dangerous ride. When your car catches on fire as they are doing much more or electric and the batteries catch fire your children buckled in carseats will probably perish, as not enough time to remove from carseats or take car seats out. I thank God I don't have children to worry about this, grown and no children either. Put phones in your bag, drive safe to arrive alive and well. No phone call is that important. If you think it is then get to safe pull over space and call them.
@@carolecampbell8813 I don’t think you have a full understanding of what materials modern vehicles are made from. What might seem to be flimsy plastic on the front and rear bumpers is just a cosmetic cover for sophisticated energy absorbing engineering behind it. Add seatbelts, numerous air bags, anti-lock breaks, and in some vehicles very advanced transmissions that can control all four wheels independently and cars are safer than ever. Also more expensive. I have seen videos of police chases where suspects are going 100+ mph, lose control of the vehicle, or are stopped by a PIT maneuver, rollover several times, or even flip end over end and the suspect walks away without a scratch. In one that happened at night, the suspected had exited the vehicle and escaped before law enforcement even got to the wreck. In another an Arkansa State Trooper deliberately ran his Charger head on into a suspect who was going over 100 mph the WRONG WAY on an Interstate with relatively heavy traffic. The trooper definitively got the wind knocked out of him and was probably bruised in lots of places, but no other injuries. What I just recently learned is that electric vehicles are much heavier than all but the biggest passenger cars. Full-size trucks and SUVs will even be more susceptible to heavy damage in a wreck with an EV. As for fires, once a fire really gets rolling in a vehicle, conditions get unsurvivable. But a reasonably attentive driver or occupant should smell or see something while there is still plenty of time to stop and get occupants who need assistance out safely. www.jdpower.com/cars/shopping-guides/what-are-cars-made-out-of
