The International Harvester Scout is an off-road vehicle produced by International Harvester from 1961 to 1980. A precursor of more sophisticated SUVs to come, it was created as a competitor to the Jeep, and it initially featured a fold-down windshield. The Scout and second-generation Scout II were produced in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as two-door trucks with a removable hard top with options of a full-length roof, half-cab pickup, and/or soft top.
The first model, a 1961 Scout 80, in pickup style with removable hard top. A full cap was also available, this is known as the travel top
International Harvester began building trucks and pickups in 1907. In 1953, it added a truck-based people carrier, the Travelall. In the late 1950s, it began to design a competitor for the two-door Jeep CJ 4x4. The 1961 model year Scout 80 made its debut in late 1960.
Those Racelines are perfect on that Scout! Love the color too! 💚
what is a race line?
Awesome Scout. I had a beautiful Hunter Green 1974 Scout II with a AMC 258 Inline 6. I had it topped off with a Holley 4 barrel on top of a Offenhauser manifold with high spark MSD. Best truck ever, Biggest regret selling it. Don't let this gem go.
Beautiful Scout!!!! The 69 would have either come with a 266 or 304 V8. Great choice - I have 5 Scouts and always on the look out for more haha!
Thanks for the info!!!!
I have a 1976 for sale if you are interested
Any for sale?
I had a 1978 Scout II and I let it go several years ago. I should not have done that. This is a beauty!. It was an orange with white top!

I LOVE IT my oldest brother had one when I was in high-school back in the 90s my dad taught me how to rebuild engines while he did transmissions I rebuilt 8 engines that summer, brothers scout 304, our moms crown Victoria 351, dad's F150 302, some old lady's Buick regal V6 another ladies old Chrysler slant 6, am old man's Chevy truck 350 and I forgot.
1969 is the BEST looking
What a great deal of choice to pick that International Harvester. My dad had 68 International Harvester pick up truck with duel fuel tanks.
Hi Lady, I have a 68 Scout 800. No top in the summers.
Did you check out those Broncos for sale in Hermosa on 29th Street? They are nice, but your little Kiwi might be just a little nicer.

Just curious how much was the cost? I'm looking into getting one and would like to know for price reference. Thank you for the video.
The price range all depends on the condition and location. I would suggest you shop around a little to see what they are going for . Hope this helps!

They came off an FJ
Hollywood screwed the market place up on Bronco's. Every damn movie and tv show has classic broncos in them!
The fj mirrors look good on it.
It does!!
Those mirrors.....
Scout came first
. Ford copied the Scout.. to make the lame as Bronco!!
Then Chevy copied everything anyone builds.
That the truck from animal kingdom?
How much are you paying for this one. I have one still in my lot but just give it away for free. I don't know if I am doing the right thing. It is not running.
Wifey
most definitely a chic's car
it kinda pissed me off that that clueless chick has no idea what she is driving.
It’s her first classic, give her a break.
Nice!
Thanks!
