- Star Light Zone is a Sonic Mania mod with a new level in the game. This level are similar as original Star Light Zone from Sonic the hedgehog, but with some level design changes and new boss in the act 2. Made by Bones Burger.

this is the one level I wish was included in Sonic Mania, we don't get much Sonic 1 rep and I feel this would have been the perfect victory lap before going into Titanic Monarch, an easier stage to calm your nerves and give you a chance to farm some extra lives before the final.

This and replace oil ocean with mystic cave and remove flying battery to balance 2 levels from each game again

I never got it.
I like this. Especially the music. But this is really polished though. It doesn't seem rushed in the slightest.
That's why I was hoping DLC had extra different boards so I grew everybody if they do another Sonic mania I'm prepared this should be in this as well as hilltop and a few others I can think of from Sonic adventure too 😎🤔💯🤑
yea, the music (which was actually made by tee lopes as a remix back in 2012) is fire
I like it too but I do wish it was sped up slightly to match the speed of the Genesis version.
I personally think Star Light would've been a great zone to brought back as well as Labyrinth zone because those where my favorite zones in Sonic 1

I really wanted Spring Yard to return.
This was awesome. I love the BGM (Background Music) in this level, the new boss and the redesigned level. The Japanese people did a fantastic job with this game, I can't wait to play this game!

I've always thought that Tee Lopes' 2012 remix of Star Ligh Zone (this mod's Act 2's music) would suit a Modern Sonic version of the Zone, but it's nice to hear it here.
Ok, the fact it coded a brand new boss fight in Mania, even if it's pretty simple, just shows how capable the Classic Sonic Hacking Community is.
@Riki I think they're talking about thr Act 2 boss, which doesn't seem to be used in mania

This is by far the best mod for Sonic Mania I've ever seen
I really miss this Zone :(, it didn't return in Sonic Generations and now again here in Sonic Mania :(, and these two remixes are beautiful!!, *I'm trying to not cry* :)
This just goes to show how well done even Sonic 1's sprites were, they still fit Mania's graphical style very well.

The music for Star Light Zone blew my mind as a wee lickle 1st grader back in 1991. Little did I know music would be one the major strengths of the entire series. This remix is freakin amazing.

This looks really cool! Though, Act 2 should have some graphical changes, at least new visuals in the stage itself. A new background would be nice too, but I understand that's quite a bit of work. Whoever made this though, hopefully it gets updated some more.

To be fair, he could always just take one of the other bosses and put a pallete swap on it or something.
Neat! Even though the enemies don't exactly work like how they do in Sonic 1, they're still great. I also love how you can smash fans now. I still would have liked a different Act 2 theme, and also maybe a non-recolored Mid-Boss.

Also, why is it that Sonic Team never made a remake of this zone, yet we've seen Green Hill, Chemical Plant and Seaside Hill more than once, Star Light Zone, besides Green Hill, this is the only momentum gaining filled zone in Sonic 1

THEY CAN MAKE THE STAGES DIFFERENT BECAUSE THE OLD STAGES IN SONIC MANIA MAKE THE STAGES DIFFERENT AND NOT DIFFERENT SO MODS SHOULD DO THIS AS WELL

Star Light Zone (Mania Edition mod) Flaws:-
1) Act 1 and 2 aren't joint to make act 1 long enough like Green Hill Zone Act 1.
2) Giant Ring is no where found / located within Act 1 and Act 2.
3) A used Act 1 Sub-boss from known mania zones.
4) Zone 2' Boss is given a face palm x 5 as it doesn't look epic including Boss Music.
Yeah that reworked Act 2 boss really doesn't look like any fun.

This is the only Level (besides wood zone) that I want to be brought back. And sega just didn't do it. Not even Christian Whitehead in mania did it. I hope if a mania 2 ever comes out that they'll have star light zone.

I think it was kind of a easy reward for going through labyrinth zone. Sky chase zone was the same.
