Thank you, Chris. Sometimes rest is a hindrance. We come out of community and isolate. We get lazy. Sometimes rest needs to be active. I haven’t learned that yet.
I have to be honest.I do feel a little guilty about just resting and doing nothing. But the Lord's says It's time to rejuvenate, keep my eyes focused on him, Listen, learn. Some people Might say my life's been a little bumpy. It's only as bumpy as you look at it. God done some amazing things in and to others around my life and that's what I see🤲 Thank you Lord and I love you🤲
Thank you for this conversation. I loved & could relate to it all. I have recently invested time into doing a teaching series from John-Mark Comer on Sabbath & it has been life changing. There are also some great books that have been written on the subject of Sabbath.
Tea and nature for sure are my sabbath. 😊 From week to week your sabbath day(s)/time(s) may change was a freeing statement. Thank you for such a practical and relatable series. There is something that can be applied from each woman’s time of sharing. I agree that some of it is generational- knowing rest and being taught to stay busy, etc. So true.
I just want to say that she had to say about the 20 something’s and the early 30’s learning about how to rest themselves and to spend time with God is so crucial. Please keep me in your prayers as I learn how to rest in The Lord.

We had jump rope and hopscotch on the street beside our house.
