Loved him and the rest of the cast in "the station agent". Definitely worth a watch. I think its on netflix right now.

I agree AND dis-agree, at the same time; he is a literal genius who has done a fabulous job, but I have to say that Gleason/Joffrey did such a remarkable job that people HATE HIM in real-life because they are unable to differentiate between the two entities.
THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is how you know that an actor or actress has done something special in his or her role.
NB: I do not really like the Joffrey character, AT ALL, as my favorite is "Lord" Varys, and it is a God damned shame that he is not given more screen-time.

Overall, pretty much all of the actors do a stellar job, it has to be said. But yes, Charles Dance just dominates his scenes. He's got such a great acting talent and is unbelievably imposing. Prior to watching GoT, the only thing I had seen Charles Dance in, is Last Action Hero. Having seen his abilities in that movie (which is a bit of a cheesy action movie to be honest, but still fun), I was absolutely delighted to see him in season 1 of GoT. And boy does he nail his scenes or what. What a fantastic actor.

Its fine youre right it's Westeros not England. But J.R.R Martin based the books on the war of the roses, back in England's civil war (different noble houses fighting for power, two major sides). And you have perfect written English for someone who is bilingual :)

In my opinion his English accent isn't that good. Sounds to put on, in my opinion. But that's acting, you will be very surprised what actors are actual British or American. But I love how the English accent gets used in fantasy dramas, historical, bad guys lol

He's actually doing a south-side King's Landing accent, and it's pretty accurate in my opinion.

This guy is one of my most favorite actors of all time. Right up there with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. A deep character with hard feelings and hard punches to the chin. A very unique character, one that will stay with us for many years to come.

David Letterman couldn't care less about his interviews. You can tell by the quality of the questions he asks. "Hey, Pete, did you know Game of Thrones is the most pirated TV show? I just googled it 5 minutes before you came on stage. Other interesting facts: your birthday is June 11, 1969. This Wikipedia thing is so helpful."
This is why Q&A panels are actually so much more interesting than talk shows. David Letterman don't even follow the show at all. :-/

lighten up. Interviews have no rules to them. Some of the most successful talk shows and interviews are nothing more than just casual conversations.
One interesting fact about Peter... he plays a character as dark, smart and cunning as Tyrion, but did you know he was also Miles the "angry elf" in the movie Elf? Just shows the great diversity in his acting, can go from such a silly, over the top character, to this one in GoT.
I love how Letterman says "when you 'grew older'" instead of "when you grew up" haha!
I recommend you watch him in The Station Agent. Absolutely amazing.

He pulls off a very cool British accent, albeit one quite fancy. That's how you can guess he's either exaggerating it (something most people on the show do, listen Maisie Williams in real life) or pretending. I reckon you aren't a native English speaker, are you? Perhaps that's why you didn't notice it as easily. Still if it weren't for his previous work I wouldn't had noticed it immediately, it's so impressive! He's like a chameleon.
I think "A song of Ice and Fire" should have been more about pirates, so the author could call himself George ARRH ARRH Martin....

Tyrion Lannister is such an awesome character and it will be a sad day if/when (never read the books) he dies. Being a "dwarf" has hypothetically forced his character to develop actual character and an overwhelming strive to survive that only Tyrion could face... Peter Dinklage's portrayel is just.... I agree with him on the bit with accents. People seem to change their accents on set even though there seems to be no need to. Rose Leslie (as Ygritte) blatantly changes her accent and definitely so for Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (as Jaime Lannister).
As an icelandic, who lives in Denmark. Nikolaj is fucking great at hiding the danish accent, Mads Mikkelsen though has a bad time with it.
Speaking of accents, does anyone know why Littlefinger (Aiden Gillen's) accent has completley morphed between series 1 and 4. He now sounds more like how he sounds more like how he does in real life.

He's the reason I watch the show.
None of the interviewers I've seen so far know how to handle him- even Letterman. Such an awesome, funny and intelligent man and yet the interviews are awkward, stilted and uninformative. Instead of pretending that he isn't a little person, maybe talking about something that clearly makes a difference in his life, might be a lot more entertaining. Also, stop asking about every other person on the show, and talk about Peter. He also has young children, as does Letterman. Not a great interview anyway.

For me, personally, it is so much more comfortable when people don't make a point of acting like it's invisible, because often that becomes just as awkward and dead-end (conversation wise) as when the person can't get over it. Just...recognize it...and then be chilled about it lol. Which may be easier said then done for some people, but it's about that happy medium haha.

Not very heroic? Sorry, Pete, but Tyrion is easily one of the most heroic characters on the show. Not very good with combat, certainly, but Tyrion, in a world of very shitty people, is an exceptional individual.
Tyrion was my biggest casting disappointment at first - too pretty. Boy am I glad they picked Peter Dinklage though, as it turns out. Best actor in the series, maybe one of the best around..
