I have missed this smile, in the morning, when I open the curtains and discover the sunrays going through my room.
I have missed these warm and long days filled with powerful light.
I have missed this incredible energy coming from the sun.
I have missed using my body at its full potential.
I have missed moving with no injury, no pain at all and no concern.
I have missed this confidence, this awareness, this composure.
I have missed letting myself go without thinking.
I have missed chasing this efficiency and this awesome fulfillment feeling.
I have missed this freedom, this simplicity, this power and this happiness within my movement.
This video is gathering special challenges, achievements that generate intense emotions =)
A lot of power, speed and smiles but also doubts and mistakes that I managed to overcome.
I have never been pushing myself this much and during such a long time when I am at home, I don't really know why...
Usually this particular energy only arise when I'm traveling or in some kind of special, ephemeral moment.
Now that I managed to find it in my everyday life, I will keep on chasing it, making all these moves, these moments, these days more rewarding and unique.
Most of these runs were done during these last weeks. The last one is from May 2016. 2years ago, but it seems much closer in my memories.
It was hard technically, required many attempts and a lot of energy. I felt so proud to finally get it and truly love the footage but never used it yet.
It felt like the right time to give it the place it deserves =).
Now I'm not missing any of this anymore.
I'm feeling thankful, everything is perfectly fine =D !
    Merci
    Express Yourself
    Samuel Govindin

Samuel you always have something to inspire us all. But I have a question for you
How do you measure progress(your own) in parkour
I ask this because I do parkour myself as a hobby of course but I understand that I don`t have a "way" where I can track my achievements. I trace casually twice a week but I feel that`s not enough
So do you set goals and if yes than how?

    • @SamUltima
      @SamUltima  6 років тому +2

I don't measure my progress with any accurate method.
Actually i think that you can progress faster and in a better way when you are not only focus about the progress itself =)
My main goal is simply to feel comfortable with everything I do. To be precise, light and keep the control as much as possible on every move. To do movements that bring me great sensation and make me happy.
With this video i feel some progress simply cause i'm running faster and giving more power in general. So I feel a general progress but nothing precise. In a way, i could also have done many of these things a long time ago. Technically I was already able to, but not always mentally and I just didn't want to do these things before.
Sometimes I move 5 times a week, sometimes only once. I don't feel much difference as long as it is enough for me.
I am really really passionate about Parkour and truly love how my life has evolved thanks to this.
I think this passion is also helping my progress a lot =) !
If you love the rhythm you have for now, I don't know if you should change it.
The question is do you prefer to move casually like you do, and push yourself more often ?
Do you feel good about what you are doing or is there something wrong ?

      SamUltima - Express Yourself
The problem is that i start to notice things that have never distracted me ( city noise, looks of who passes by, weather, the fact that i mostly train alone ). I dont know why but i became more anxious about everything so i thought it must be my unorganised training sessions (purposeless ?)

    • @SamUltima
      @SamUltima  6 років тому

Reading this I would say it can also comes from anything else in your life affecting your sessions.
People looking at me or weather is also distracting for me.
Why do you do Parkour ? I wouldn't say it is about the organization, but the motivation behind your movement.
