I have never once been able to make my dad proud as a fifth generation electrician. The level of persistence he expects has always been absurdly high. He had a female come to work for him one day and she was pissed because he would not let her finish the day working for him. I know plenty of men that had also been let go by him so I was not surprised but she was pissed and took it as though he were sexist. I ended up going back to university and I am now working on a masters in sociology because my dad's expectations were so unrealistically high for me with electrical. I feel for that girl but, even as his son and having been raised by him I couldn't meet his expectations. Some of the most competitive men on the planet are just impossible to work with but if you can impress them you can make all the money in the world.

I’m apologizing on the way there that things aren’t going according to plan. She was fine with it (she told me years later she felt really bad for me at the time and could tell I was trying and was just having the worst luck) We pull into Logan’s and before we get out she looks at me and says “Hey, if this one has a long wait too, I’d be happy to go next door to Arby’s with you.” Don’t let this girl get away!!!! (Logan’s had seating and everything went great for the rest of the night) We still talk about that night from time to time….especially when we go out and someplace is too busy and I have to choose somewhere else. I have never once been able to make my dad proud as a fifth generation electrician. The level of persistence he expects has always been absurdly high. He had a female come to work for him one day and she was pissed because he would not let her finish the day working for him. I ended up going back to university and I am now working on a masters in sociology because my dad's expectations were so unrealistically high for me with electrical. I feel for that girl but, even as his son and having been raised by him I couldn't meet his expectations. It is quite sad. Before, women were treated as the prize because they deserved it. They used to have a wonderful personality. They used to be sweet, loving, loyal, happy, compassionate, and fun partners that would cheer with you in the good times and helped you through the bad times. But now, feminism has lowered their value to the point of being "fun" objects.

I am a woman an tend to agree that in general women are more emotionally led...reason being...we take care and nurture children...it's just imprinted in our DNA....men are more inclined to use logic and less emotion because they were made and equipped to defend and protect...No one is better, just different and we are made to function in complementary roles to sustain a family...

First date with my, now, wife.
Took her downtown to a local pizza/grinders place that is a city favorite. Something relaxing and casual. Get there, local college basketball team is playing so the wait is 2 hours. Decide to try somewhere else.
Go to a local penera-Esque shop with fresh breads and sandwiches etc that she had never been to but always wanted to go. Get there. They close at 5pm daily and it’s 7pm. Crap.
Now I’m sweating bullets because I feel like I’m failing on the first date. We decide to try Logan’s Roadhouse down the street. I’m apologizing on the way there that things aren’t going according to plan. She was fine with it (she told me years later she felt really bad for me at the time and could tell I was trying and was just having the worst luck)
We pull into Logan’s and before we get out she looks at me and says “Hey, if this one has a long wait too, I’d be happy to go next door to Arby’s with you.”
Don’t let this girl get away!!!!
