A fun story about the Yodabashi Camera building at 30:23 while on my trip last year. My step dad was in the Navy in the early 80s and he happened to be in Japan for just a little while and had taken some pictures. Some were of random spots that I couldn't say where they were taken, but he had one of that building that I managed to figure out where it was. It used to be a Mitsukoshi store and was able to find its location and found out it was in Yokohama which was perfect since my friends and I were going there anyway so it worked out. Almost 40 years later from when the picture was taken I took a picture of the building in more or less the same spot as where the old photo was taken and sent it to him and even video called him. He never would have thought a random picture from decades ago would ever become relevant again. Life is precious sometimes :)

I was in Shin Yokohama in November of 2023. The Ramen Museum is a must stop. Buy the small servings and you can try two places. Not the most economical option, but you can try 2 or 3 types, depending on how big of an appetite you have and if you are wearing stretch pants or not. 😆 I'll be in Japan in a few weeks...Tokyo Station here I come. I want to see the Harry Potter pop up shop. Thanks for sharing!

Ah, can't beleve I missed this museum 😢 Everything looked so good. If I knew about this place during my trip, I would have gone after my visit to the Cup Noodle Museum. Definitely would have room in my stomach for this too🤣 Thanks for the awesome trip and work Rion. and eating 😊🎉

i know this comment isnt related to this particular video but i want to thank you sooo much for your videos. Me and my husband got lost in the Sunshine City Mall trying to find the observatory so I pulled up an older video you did showing where the entrance to the observatory was at and it helped us sooo much. We tried asking around but nothing helped like your video. So grateful to you!

What an inspiring story~ ✨ Because there was a problem, something was done to make things better, and boom-miso ramen (and the spicy version) was born 😋 It was really fun to see Shin-Yokohama Station, especially since it’s a stop between Tokyo and Osaka. Let’s keep exploring~

I did a day trip from Tokyo to Yokohama in May. Had lunch at the Ramen Museum and then went to the Cup Noodle Museum and the Red Brick Warehouse. Just like Rion did on another trip I took the Air Cabin back across to the JR station at the end of the day.

If I want to learn more about Japan, I always make sure to visit your channel, it just doesn't give precise and updated details but it feels like I am walking with you into different restaurants and train stations. I am learning a lot about places. Next thing I need to learn.... more Japanese phrases and words! LOVING IT! SWEET! 💙😍

Arigato! That looks like a fun museum to visit. Just want to say a big thank you from our family for the many videos and ideas. One of the best tips was for Shibuya crossing. We enjoyed the lounges above Starbucks and we would not have known about that without your videos. The train stations can be very confusing so having an idea of what to expect from your videos was very helpful. We are already planning what we want to do differently next year. looking forward to more videos and more hidden treasures from you.

wow thanks for this video because I did visit Yokohama cup noodle museum but did not go as far to Shin-Yokohama station. It was always a "rush" time for me to be back to Tokyo probably because I either spent too much time in the museum, shopping or just strolling into unexpected stores along the way. Maybe next time I should stay at least a night in Yokohama. I move the port museum and old ship Nippon Maru there.

I wish I could've seen this video two days ago. I had time to spare before leaving Japan yesterday. Was going to Yokohama, but the Cup Noodle Museum is so rediculously crowdedl and tickets were already sold out. I ended up staying in Shibuya doing a lot of timelapse photography of the crowds and trains. I did put this museum down on my Japan list for the future. Mahalos Rion🤙🏽

Yes, I always look forward to a new video from you. Thank you for the tips regarding tickets. However, I would like to know what the current prices are if you reserve a seat on the train. Unfortunately, you mostly didn't reserve a seat on the train. Would you show us that in the next video and tell us how much the difference is in terms of price? Thank you😊😊 I look forward for the next video😅😊🤟

My partner and I went to the same ramen museum in 2018! They updated the upper level a lot since then. If you get the small size portion, you could have tried more restaurants. That is what we did. We had lots of fun there, and during our visit there was a live performance with a performer doing old style tricks.

What a surprise a Shinkansen ride to Shin-Jokohama in order to visit a Ramen Museum, which is really interesting, especially the retro maze of small "streets". The vibe is really surprisingly weired, but the place you were eating your ramen seemed pretty usual. I knew that among so many ramen types you will choose the spicy one. But this time you were more patient while
adding spicy stuff, so it was less dangerous. The night atmosphere of this part of Jokohama is also vibrant, perhaps even more due to rush hour. Still you reached safely Tokyo station. Well your plan to visit Nikko or Hokaido depending on weather is great. I would prefer Nikko for I still remember your winter Hokaido adventures. Till next video, GAOOO.....
